When the shirt said “Every day is Labor Day… for a MIDWIFE” it wasn’t a joke. 😅 We had two sweet babies born on Labor Day, one before our San Antonio Area Midwives Association Labor Day Event, and one right after. Leaving us just enough time to go and celebrate with the community. Good timing, babies! 👏🏼

✨Birth Center Week✨ is here, and we’re celebrating BIG!

September 14–18, we’re opening our doors for a whole week of connection, community, and a whole lot of fun. 🥰

We’ve got something different planned every day including mom meetups, babywearing, sweet treats, bump & baby photos, a birth worker spelling bee, and an opportunity to meet with the people who serve our birth center clients and families all over San Antonio.
And yes, every event is happening right here at the Birth Center of San Antonio! Whether you’re a current client, past client, local mom, birth worker, or just curious about what we’re all about, you’re invited!

At your 24–48 hour postpartum home visit, we reassess baby from head to toe, including oral function and feeding. Because sometimes after a day or two of nursing, mom notices something that wasn’t obvious right after birth!

Depending on what we find and what you’re experiencing, we may recommend feeding adjustments, bodywork, an IBCLC, or further evaluation for oral restrictions/releases.

Regardless of what may be going on, we are by your side every step of the way!! You’ve got this and we’re here to help you. 🥰❤️
