Big emotions don’t need perfect responses. They need consistent practice. 💙
Every child experiences anger. The goal isn’t to stop children from feeling angry. The goal is to help them recognize those feelings and learn healthy ways to respond.
Emotional regulation is a skill that develops over time. Small moments like taking a break, naming emotions, using calming tools, and practicing deep breathing can help children build confidence in managing big feelings.
Progress won’t happen overnight, and that’s okay. What matters most is creating a safe environment where children can practice these skills again and again.
At Aurora ABA, we partner with families to teach practical strategies that support emotional growth, communication, and independence. Every child learns differently, and every small step forward is worth celebrating.
Remember:
💙 Feelings are always welcome.
💙 Unsafe behaviors are not.
💙 Every challenging moment can become a learning opportunity.
If your child is struggling with emotional regulation, know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. Send us a DM to learn how Aurora can help light the way for your family.
