The goal isn't to survive. It's to LIVE more FULLY.

So many women have become incredibly skilled at surviving.

They know how to push through exhaustion.

Take care of everyone else.

Keep achieving.
Keep producing.
Keep holding it all together.

Yet underneath it all, many feel disconnected from their joy, creativity, pleasure, and authentic expression.

Why?

Because surviving and living are not the same thing.

Here are 3 signs your nervous system may still be organized around survival:

1. Rest feels uncomfortable.
You feel guilty slowing down and constantly look for the next thing to do.

2. Pleasure feels unnecessary.
You prioritize responsibilities, productivity, and everyone else's needs before your own joy and nourishment.

3. Receiving feels difficult.
You are comfortable giving support, but struggle to ask for help or allow others to support you.

These are often survival strategies—not personality traits.

Strategies your nervous system developed to keep you safe during difficult seasons of life.

But there comes a point where what protected you may now be limiting you.

Limiting your joy.
Limiting your pleasure.
Limiting your ability to receive.
Limiting your capacity to fully live.

❤️ Because the goal isn't to survive.

It's to LIVE more fully.

Drop LIVE in the comments if you're ready to live more fully in your feminine.

🌹 Founder of Holistic Goddess

For the past two years, Glenda has attended Unleash Your Capacity as a participant, courageously saying YES to her own healing, expansion, and transformation.

🌹 This year, she answered a different call.

Glenda stepped forward to serve as one of our Teacher Assistants for Unleash Your Capacity 2026, and we couldn't be more honored to have her supporting the women who choose themselves and this journey.

As a Wise Woman, WayShower, and Guide, Glenda is on a mission to support women in remembering who the f*ck they are.

She works with women who have lost themselves—women who feel a deep longing for something more but aren't quite sure how to find their way back.

Because so many women have given themselves away.

In relationships.
In careers.
In caregiving.
As daughters caring for aging parents.
In meeting everyone else's needs before their own.

And somewhere along the way, they forget their power.

They disconnect from their inner knowing.
They outsource their energy, wisdom, and agency to everyone around them.

🌹 Glenda's work is about guiding women back home to themselves.

Back to their truth.
Back to their voice.
Back to their power.

As a WayShower Guide, she helps call in women who are ready to return to their Inner Knowing and reclaim the parts of themselves they've abandoned along the way.

Her grounded presence, wisdom, and devotion to women's awakening make her an incredible addition to the support team holding this sacred container.

🌹 At Unleash Your Capacity, healing doesn't happen because one person has all the answers.

It happens because women come together.

They witness one another.
They support one another.
They challenge one another.
They remember what becomes possible when they no longer walk alone.

A nervous system organized around survival rarely prioritizes enjoyment.

One of the greatest misconceptions about success is that achievement automatically creates fulfillment.

Yet many high-achieving women discover that despite building successful careers, businesses, families, and lives, they still struggle to experience ease, joy, and genuine enjoyment.

Why?

Because success and safety are not the same thing.

Many women have spent years operating from a nervous system shaped by chronic stress, over-responsibility, perfectionism, caregiving, and survival-based adaptations.

The result is often a life that looks successful externally but feels exhausting internally.

When the nervous system is focused on protection, it naturally prioritizes:
• Productivity
• Control
• Anticipation
• Performance
• Responsibility

Not:
• Rest
• Play
• Pleasure
• Creativity
• Presence

This is why conversations around women's health must include trauma, hormones, and nervous system regulation.

These systems are deeply interconnected and influence how women lead, perform, relate, recover, and thrive.

For PTSD Awareness Month, I invite you to read our latest article:

Healing isn't simply about reducing stress.

It's about creating enough internal safety that enjoyment, connection, creativity, and fulfillment can naturally emerge.

"There is something healing that happens when you realize you are not the only one carrying what you've been carrying."

One of the beautiful things Andrea shared after attending Big Magic Retreat (now called Unleashing Your Capacity) was the power of healing in community.

Not because someone fixed her.
Not because someone gave her the perfect answer.

But because she was surrounded by women who were brave enough to show up authentically.

Women moving through grief.
Women navigating uncertainty.
Women learning to trust themselves again.
Women celebrating breakthroughs, joy, and possibility.

There is something profoundly healing about being witnessed and witnessing others.

For many women, healing has become another thing to do alone.

But the truth is that some of our deepest healing happens in safe, supportive community.

If you've been feeling the call to reconnect with yourself, increase your capacity, and be supported by women who understand the journey, we would love to welcome you.

What protected you may now be limiting you.

Many of the survival strategies that helped you navigate life in your teens, 20s, and even early 30s often stop working the same way in your late 30s and 40s.

The hyper-independence.
The people pleasing.
The over-achieving.
The perfectionism.
The emotional numbing.

At one point, these strategies helped you survive.

They helped you navigate environments where emotional safety, support, consistency, or connection may have been missing.

But eventually the body begins asking for something different.

Not more productivity.
Not more pushing.
Not more proving.
More safety.

This is one of the reasons PTSD and Complex Trauma can be so confusing.

The symptoms are not always obvious.

Often they show up as patterns that have become so familiar we mistake them for personality traits.

The challenge is that the same strategies that once created protection can eventually create disconnection—from yourself, your relationships, your joy, and your capacity to receive support.
This PTSD Awareness Month, I want to invite you into a new way of understanding trauma and healing.

What if healing is less about fixing yourself and more about helping your nervous system feel safe enough to expand instead of contract?

Safe enough to trust.
Safe enough to receive.
Safe enough to rest.
Safe enough to fully express who you are.

❤️ Healing begins when safety replaces survival.

https://www.epicluv.com/ptsd-awareness-month/

06/12/2026

Over the years, I have had the honor of supporting many women healing from PTSD and Complex PTSD.

And one thing I've learned is this:

While cognitive therapy can be incredibly valuable, healing doesn't happen through insight alone.

Trauma doesn't just live in our thoughts.

It lives in our bodies, our nervous systems, our emotional responses, and the survival strategies we developed to stay safe.

This is where body-based healing modalities can be so powerful.

Modalities such as Somatic Therapy, EMDR, and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy help create opportunities for the nervous system to process what was once too overwhelming to fully feel.

As safety increases, the body can begin to soften long-held protective patterns, release stored stress responses, and complete nervous system loops that were interrupted during traumatic experiences.

Healing isn't about reliving trauma.

It's about helping the body experience enough safety to move through what has been held for so long.

When we gently unwind survival patterns, many women experience:
✨ Greater emotional regulation
✨ Increased feelings of safety
✨ More authentic self-expression
✨ Deeper connection with themselves and others
✨ Less anxiety, hypervigilance, and overwhelm

You don't have to stay stuck in survival mode forever.

Drop "CURIOUS" in the comments if you'd like to learn more about these healing modalities and whether they may be supportive for your journey.

06/11/2026

One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing women discover that they no longer have to live in survival mode.

Kim's story is a powerful example of what can happen when healing addresses not only the mind, but the body and nervous system as well.

Before the age of five, Kim experienced the devastating loss of her father. Following his death, she navigated emotional neglect, attachment wounds, and sexual abuse during her developmental years.

Like so many women living with Complex PTSD, she became highly capable, independent, and resilient on the outside while carrying unresolved grief, fear, and overwhelm internally.

She became the one everyone could count on.

But beneath that strength was a nervous system that had spent decades trying to protect her.

Over the course of nine months, we worked together through somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), nervous system regulation, and psilocybin-assisted healing.

What emerged was not a new version of Kim.

It was the authentic Kim.

The woman beneath the survival strategies.

The woman beneath the armor.

The woman who deserved to feel safe, supported, connected, and at peace within herself.

Healing is not about fixing what is broken.

Healing is about creating enough safety that the body no longer has to live in protection.

It is about coming home to yourself.

I invite you to listen to Kim share her experience in her own words.

🎥 Watch her full testimonial here:

If you're curious about the role somatic therapy, nervous system healing, Internal Family Systems, or psychedelic-assisted therapy can play in healing Complex Trauma, I'd love to connect.
