The goal isn't to survive. It's to LIVE more FULLY.
So many women have become incredibly skilled at surviving.
They know how to push through exhaustion.
Take care of everyone else.
Keep achieving.
Keep producing.
Keep holding it all together.
Yet underneath it all, many feel disconnected from their joy, creativity, pleasure, and authentic expression.
Why?
Because surviving and living are not the same thing.
Here are 3 signs your nervous system may still be organized around survival:
1. Rest feels uncomfortable.
You feel guilty slowing down and constantly look for the next thing to do.
2. Pleasure feels unnecessary.
You prioritize responsibilities, productivity, and everyone else's needs before your own joy and nourishment.
3. Receiving feels difficult.
You are comfortable giving support, but struggle to ask for help or allow others to support you.
These are often survival strategies—not personality traits.
Strategies your nervous system developed to keep you safe during difficult seasons of life.
But there comes a point where what protected you may now be limiting you.
Limiting your joy.
Limiting your pleasure.
Limiting your ability to receive.
Limiting your capacity to fully live.
❤️ Because the goal isn't to survive.
It's to LIVE more fully.
