Many thanks to the additional panelists:

Key takeaways from the conversation included:
What fills your soul? What makes you really happy? Let that guide you in your journey.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. This is when you learn the most about yourself.
Imposter syndrome may arise when you’re not around a lot of Filipino people. Now, with the value of EDI being recognized by institutions, shift your perspective: Filipinos are the largest Asian demographic in San Diego. You are the person that workplace needs in this moment.
Surround yourself with people who believe in you, push you and keep you going.
Frustrations can arise if your parents aren’t in alignment with your career goals. Sometimes it helps to learn about life in the Philippines and the sacrifice it took to build a life here. Your mom or dad or Lola or Lolo just want the best for you. There may be more in their background that you don’t know about.
Put things on the calendar. Spend 30 min getting coffee with a family member. Make sure to schedule time for the people around you.
Never stop learning. Even when you are advanced in your career, keep learning.
