It is a privilege to serve as a Healing Hearts Bereavement Coordinator and Facilitator for MIB Agents. This is wonderful news to share and is the result of the organization’s dedication and love.

agents WE DID IT!

🎗A major step forward for kids facing osteosarcoma and childhood cancer is now the law. This is the most comprehensive childhood cancer legislation in a decade passed — and it happened because advocates refused to stay silent.

🎗Every email sent, every call made, every post shared, and every child’s story bravely told helped push this moment across the finish line. Thank you for showing up, speaking out, and standing with kids who deserve better options and better outcomes.

🎗At MIB Agents, we know advocacy saves lives. Today’s victory means more access to care, more research momentum, and more hope for children and families navigating osteosarcoma.

🎗Today, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we keep fighting.

Hi, friends.

Sitting in support with our Thoughtful Thursdays community has deeply shaped us over the years. Frequently, we hear tender sentences rise in the room… deeply human truths people carry quietly when goodbyes approach or after a loved one is lost:

“How do I say goodbye?”
“I don’t want to be a burden.”
“I didn’t do enough.”

These sentences deserve more space than our single evening gatherings can hold.

In response and with great respect, we have created a three-part series — Thoughtful Talk: Tender Conversations during Death and Dying. It is a one-hour, weekly gathering designed to go deeper into the emotional and practical language around these moments. Eighty percent guidance, twenty percent optional sharing. A place to learn, reflect, breathe, express, connect, and reframe together.

📅 Wednesdays: February 18 and 25, March 4
🕕 6:00–7:00pm PT on Zoom
🎥 Recordings included
💛 $47 for the full series

This offering was born directly from what we have witnessed in our grief group. If any of those sentences live inside you, we would love to continue the conversation together.

We invite you to read more and join at the link in bio.

With care,
Lori + Rhonda

Dear Friends,

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible organizations and individuals with whom I have the honor of partnering. I am truly humbled by their gentle and impactful presence in the world; the light they bring to every soul they touch; and the difference they make in their communities.

MIB AGENTS (.agents): It has been a privilege to be a part of making it better for the Osteosarcoma community. You truly make it better in so many ways.

RHONDA LOPRESTI (): Creating and co-facilitating Thoughtful Thursdays with you fills my heart. Being in conversation on topics related to death and grief, and sharing space for others to be seen, heard, and acknowledged, has been a sacred experience.

EMPOWERED ENDINGS (): Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in providing guidance, connection, and support to those navigating aging, end of life, and grief.

LAING RIKKERS ( ): Thank you for sharing your book Morning Leaves in our grief support workshops. It has been a great tool to help grievers connect with their hearts, and reflect and share their stories of love and loss in community.

FANCONI CANCER FOUNDATION (): It is an honor to partner with you in providing ongoing emotional support to the Fanconi Anemia community.

VOICES OF OUR CITY (): Thank you for trusting me to partner with you in supporting your choir members in developing hope, personal empowerment, and the life skills needed to navigate the loss and grief they experience.

Dear Friends,

In the midst of the holidays, please remember:

Grief doesn’t follow a calendar.

If this season feels heavy, tender, or complicated, please know you’re not doing it wrong. You’re human. Take what you need, leave what you can, and let gentleness lead the way. And please know you’re not alone.

Wishing you peace and comfort. And a friendly reminder: and I will pause our Thoughtful Thursday this week for Christmas Day and see you for our January 2026 session on the 8th.

With love,
Lori

Hello, friend. This Giving Tuesday, I want to share an organization I hold deeply in my heart with you.

For several years, I have had the privilege of serving as a Healing Hearts Bereavement Coordinator and Facilitator for MIB Agents (.agents), a leading pediatric osteosarcoma nonprofit organization. Osteosarcoma or osteogenic sarcoma (also known as OS or osteo) is an aggressive malignant primary bone cancer. With 800-1,000 cases a year diagnosed in the United States, OS is the most prevalent bone cancer affecting children and adolescents/young adults.

MIB Agents supports its community of patients, families, medical professionals, researchers, and industry partners by creating and instilling hope through programs, education, and research. To find out more about this incredible organization, and to make a donation, please visit their website at mibagents.org (link in bio).

Dear Friends,

As the holidays approach, please remember:

Grief doesn’t follow a calendar.

If this season feels heavy, tender, or complicated, please know you’re not doing it wrong. You’re human. Take what you need, leave what you can, and let gentleness lead the way. And know you’re not alone in this.

Wishing you peace and comfort. And a friendly reminder: and I will pause our Thoughtful Thursday this week for Thanksgiving and see you for our December session on December 11, 2025.
