Why do some athletes lose control in the middle of a game—even when they KNOW it's hurting their performance?

Because knowing you shouldn't react doesn't necessarily stop an automatic response.

I recently worked with a professional soccer player who was being deliberately provoked during games. Opponents knew exactly how to trigger his anger—and his reactions were costing him on the field.

We worked directly with the subconscious associations behind that response.

The result? The trigger was neutralized, the emotional reaction stopped, and he could stay calm and focused instead.

This is why I work with athletes at the subconscious level. When the automatic response changes, they don't have to fight themselves to stay in control.

How much of your personality is actually YOU?

It’s a question I’ve become increasingly fascinated by.

Because subconscious programming doesn’t always feel like programming.

It feels like:

“This is just how I am.”

Maybe you’re the person who always has to be strong.

The one who keeps everyone happy.

The one who needs control before you can relax.

The one who overthinks before making a decision.

The one who automatically prepares for what might go wrong.

Live from a pattern for long enough and eventually you stop experiencing it as something you DO.

It becomes who you believe you ARE.

And this is where the distinction becomes really interesting.

Because when I work with someone and that subconscious pattern changes, I don’t watch them become less themselves.

Very often, I watch the opposite happen.

Something that required effort becomes easier.

Something they were protecting against no longer needs protecting against.

There’s less managing.

Less performing.

Less automatic reacting.

And more of the person underneath it becomes available.

That is one of the ways I think about Soul Essence.

Not a perfect or mystical version of ourselves that we have to somehow reach.

But the deeper expression of who we are when we’re no longer unconsciously organizing so much of our lives around programming, protection and adaptation.

So perhaps the question isn’t only:

“What do I want to change about myself?”

Perhaps there’s a more interesting question:

✨ What if some of what I’ve been trying to change was never actually ME? ✨

That question is at the heart of The Remembering.

For seven nights in Carnac, Brittany, we’re creating the space to explore it beyond intellectual understanding — through subconscious reprogramming, embodied practice, sound, stillness, ancient tradition and the extraordinary landscape of Carnac itself, with more than 3,000 standing stones and the alignments just minutes from our door.

October 11–18, 2026.

If you’ve found yourself stopping on these posts because something about this question feels familiar, perhaps pay attention to that.

What would actually change in your life if you stopped living from patterns that were never truly you?

This is the question underneath everything I’ve been sharing about The Remembering.

Because subconscious programming doesn’t only show up as obvious fears, blocks or limiting beliefs.

Sometimes it looks like personality.

“I’m just an anxious person.”

“I’ve always been a people pleaser.”

“I overthink everything.”

“I need to be in control.”

“I’ve never been confident.”

“I’m the strong one.”

“I always put everyone else first.”

“I just don’t trust easily.”

But after nearly 16 years and close to 9,000 subconscious reprogramming sessions, I’ve become increasingly fascinated by a different possibility:

What if some of the things we’ve spent years trying to manage, improve or overcome aren’t actually WHO WE ARE?

What if they’re adaptations?

Protection?

Conditioning?

Programming that became so familiar we eventually called it “me”?

And if that programming begins to change, something really interesting can happen.

You’re not necessarily becoming someone new.

You may simply have more freedom to be who you were underneath it.

✨ To respond instead of automatically react.

✨ To feel confident without having to manufacture confidence.

✨ To make a decision without fear having the loudest voice.

✨ To stop proving, pleasing, controlling or shrinking.

✨ To experience more of your own energy, creativity, intuition and aliveness.

This is what I mean when I talk about Soul Essence.

Not some perfect spiritual version of ourselves.

The deeper, more authentic expression that has room to emerge when we’re no longer unconsciously organizing our lives around old programming.

And THAT is what I want to explore in Carnac.

Not just:

“What can I change?”

But:

❤️ “Who am I when I’m no longer living from what I learned I had to be?”

The Remembering is seven nights devoted to exploring that question through subconscious reprogramming, embodied practice, sound, stillness, ancient traditions and one of the most extraordinary landscapes in the world.

“I’m walking in a different space now.”

Sarah is a business owner who came to me struggling with confidence—especially trusting herself when sitting at bigger tables.

After one session working directly with the subconscious, she described experiencing a “true shift.”

Not forcing confidence.
Not pretending to feel differently.
Changing what was happening underneath it.

And I absolutely love her description of what I do: “subconscious biohacking”because that's what it is🧠⚡

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your experience. ❤️

If you know you’re capable of more, but something inside keeps getting in the way, click the link in my bio and let’s talk.

From heartbreak and struggling with self-love… to moving forward faster than she expected. ❤️

When Jackie came to me, she had already experienced talk therapy, but she was still struggling with self-love, motivation, and healing from a breakup.

What surprised her was how quickly things began to shift when we started working at the subconscious level.

In her words, the benefits and results were “a lot quicker,” and our sessions helped her move forward “really fast.”

This is why I focus on what’s happening beneath the conscious mind. When the subconscious programming driving the struggle changes, you don’t have to spend all your energy fighting yourself at the surface.

Thank you, Jackie, for sharing your experience and trusting me with this part of your journey. 🙏

A breakthrough can change what you SEE.

Embodiment changes how you LIVE.

And that leads into another part of The Remembering that may seem very different from subconscious reprogramming at first:

🎶 SOUND.

Why would I bring sound and frequency into an experience that's fundamentally about identity, subconscious programming and remembering who we are underneath it?

Because not everything we experience is reached through words.

Think about what music can do.

A few notes can evoke an emotion before you've had time to think.

A particular song can transport you somewhere you haven't consciously thought about for decades.

Your body can respond before your intellect has constructed an explanation.

And THAT interests me.

Because so much personal development happens through language:

Understanding.

Analyzing.

Explaining.

Reframing.

Making conscious decisions.

All of that can be incredibly valuable.

But The Remembering is deliberately exploring transformation through more than one doorway.

✨ Patricia Walls will be joining us in Carnac, working with sound, frequency and what she calls Soul Remembrance.

Her approach is different from mine.

I'm working directly with subconscious programming — helping identify and change patterns that may have become intertwined with identity.

Patricia brings another dimension to the exploration through sound and vibrational experience.

And what interests me isn't trying to make the two approaches the same.

It's what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to experience transformation through different pathways.

🧠 Mind.

❤️ Emotion.

🫁 Body.

🎶 Sound.

🧘 Stillness.

🌿 Environment.

Because perhaps remembering who we are underneath our conditioning isn't something we can THINK our way into entirely.

Perhaps some of it has to be experienced.

That's why the different traditions within The Remembering aren't simply activities filling seven days.

Each is an invitation to approach the same exploration from somewhere different.

Who are you beneath everything you learned you had to be?

And what happens when you create enough space — internally and externally — to experience the answer rather than simply think about it?

You’re not always reacting to reality.

You’re often reacting to your perception of it.

And that perception is being shaped by an inner world that is largely operating outside of your conscious awareness.

Your beliefs.
Past experiences.
Emotional associations.
Subconscious programming.

All of it influences how you interpret the people and situations around you—and therefore how you experience your life.

Two people can encounter the exact same situation and have completely different internal experiences of it.

The external event may be the same.

The programming interpreting it isn’t.

This is why learning to recognize your inner communication is so powerful.

Because when you begin to understand what’s happening beneath your conscious thoughts and reactions, you can start distinguishing between what is actually happening—and what your subconscious has learned to believe is happening.

And that awareness creates the opportunity for change. 💫

Anger can cost an athlete far more than a moment of frustration.

For professional soccer player Samuel Ofori, negative comments on the field triggered angry reactions, which, in a professional game, can cause yellow cards and even, on occasion, red cards, which can be fatal to a game and a player's career. Even comments directed at Samuel off the field could set off the same response.

He knew he wanted to change it.

After working together to address the subconscious associations beneath those reactions, he immediately began noticing something very different:

The triggers were still there.

But the automatic anger wasn’t.

During recent games, people said things that previously would have set him off—and he simply ignored them.

His words:

“I’ve been a calm person and nothing bothers me much anymore.”

That’s the power of changing the pattern beneath the behavior.

For athletes, emotional control isn’t just about feeling better. It can mean staying focused, composed, and fully available to perform when it matters most.

If you’re an athlete or coach dealing with anger, emotional reactivity, performance anxiety, or other patterns getting in the way of performance, DM me or click the link in my bio to learn more about subconscious upgrading.

08/26/2026

If subconscious reprogramming is at the heart of my work, why isn't The Remembering seven days of subconscious reprogramming?

Because changing the programming is only part of what interests me.

The deeper question is:

How does what changes internally become the way you actually live?

You can have an extraordinary realization.

You can consciously decide to respond differently.

You can even change something at the subconscious level.

But we don't live our lives purely inside our minds.

We live through our bodies.

Through our reactions.

Through how we respond under pressure.

Through how present we remain when something challenges us.

Through whether we can access stillness when the world around us isn't still.

This is where embodiment becomes important.

And it's one of the reasons I'm bringing Master Can to Carnac.

🥋 Master Can is a 34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk and Shaolin Cultural Ambassador to the UAE.

His work encompasses Shaolin practice, Qigong, Tai Chi, meditation and Zen philosophy — traditions that approach awareness not simply as something to understand, but something to practice and embody.

And THAT is what fascinates me about bringing our work together.

🧠 My work approaches the subconscious programming beneath many of our automatic thoughts, emotions and responses.

🥋 His tradition brings another pathway — through the body, breath, awareness, discipline, presence and stillness.

We're coming from completely different traditions.

But we're exploring something remarkably complementary:

What does it mean not simply to KNOW something differently… but to BE different when life actually happens?

Because The Remembering isn't about spending seven nights in France feeling transformed.

I want to explore something much deeper.

What happens when we begin removing the programming we've mistaken for identity...

and then create the space to experience and embody what emerges underneath it?

That's why there are multiple traditions woven through these seven nights.

They're not activities I've added to make a retreat itinerary interesting.

Each one is there for a reason.

Over the coming posts, I'm going to introduce you to the extraordinary people joining me in Carnac — and explain why I chose each of them to be part of this exploration. ❤️
