The French government has introduced one of Europe's toughest restrictions on oral ni****ne pouches, such as Zyn, outlawing not only their sale and import but also their possession and use. 👏

The measure, which took into effect on April 1, targets products such as Zyn and similar to***co-free ni****ne pouches that have rapidly gained popularity among younger consumers in Europe and the United States. Congratulations to our 2026 To***co Prevention Hero Award recipients!

Assemblymember Liz Ortega received our Policy Award for authoring California Assembly Bill 455, which is the nation’s first law requiring home sellers to disclose thirdhand smoke hazards.

Additionally, National City Coalition for Better Health (NCCBH) received our Community Advocacy Award for successfully advocating for a To***co Retail Licensing Ordinance in National City in 2025.

Hong Kong is making construction sites safer for everyone 🌿

Less than six months after the tragic Tai Po fire killed 168 people, investigations point toward a lit cigarette butt as the likely cause. Starting July 17th, 2026, smoking will be banned at all construction sites in Hong Kong, with hefty fines for offenders. This kind of policy is exactly the response needed to protect workers, communities, and the environment from some of the devastating risks of commercial to***co. 👏
