Gratitude doesn’t require us to ignore pain or pretend that everything is okay. Instead, it can help us notice moments of meaning, connection, and possibility alongside life’s challenges. 🌿

Energy psychology invites us to engage the mind and body together. When gratitude is paired with practices such as tapping, mindful breathing, or gentle body awareness, it may help us more fully experience and integrate the positive moments we might otherwise overlook.

Take a quiet moment today to bring one person, experience, or simple comfort to mind. Notice not only what you think about it, but what you feel in your body as you hold it in your awareness.

What are you grateful for today? Share it in the comments—and take a moment to let yourself truly feel it. 💛

Across cultures and generations, people have turned to sound, movement, breath, meaningful words, and community for comfort, connection, and well-being. 🌿

In this ACEP blog, Lori Chortkoff Hops, PhD, DCEP, explores how these ancient healing foundations can complement energy practices:

🎵 Sound can soothe and uplift
💃 Movement can deepen embodiment
🌬️ Breath can encourage grounding and relaxation
💬 Words can help shape intention and new patterns
🤝 Community can foster connection and shared purpose

Whether you hum while tapping, add mindful movement to your routine, practice deliberate breathing, or connect with others, these simple elements may bring a new dimension to your energy practices.

Which of these foundations resonates most with you?

Sometimes even extensive training can leave a practitioner searching for additional ways to help clients with complex trauma, addiction, and deeply rooted patterns.

For Anthony Tranguch, MD, PhD, incorporating energy psychology into his work opened new possibilities. His experience reflects why many mental health professionals and healing practitioners explore these approaches as a complement to their existing clinical skills.

Energy psychology brings the mind and body into the therapeutic process, offering practical tools that can be integrated with established methods and tailored to the individual.

You don’t always need to replace the methods you already trust to expand what is possible for your clients.

Energy psychology offers practical mind-body tools that can be integrated with talk therapy and other established approaches. These methods are designed to work gently with the body-mind system, helping mental health professionals and healing practitioners address stress and trauma in a more holistic way.

Research continues to explore the effectiveness and efficiency of these approaches, including their potential role in trauma-informed care.

What can ancient plant wisdom contribute to modern integrative care? 🌿

For centuries, herbs have been used to support physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Today, researchers and healing practitioners are continuing to explore how plants such as chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, ashwagandha, and others may support relaxation, sleep, stress response, and overall wellness.

In this ACEP blog, Mary Nathanson, LCSW, EFTP, examines the healing energetics of herbs, their traditional uses, and the importance of bridging ancient wisdom with modern research and responsible care.

We often search for transformation in extraordinary moments. Yet sometimes the most meaningful shift begins with something beautifully ordinary: returning to the body, feeling our feet meet the ground, and becoming fully present.

Mindfulness and energy psychology both invite us to reconnect mind and body. Through conscious breathing, movement, tapping, and other body-based practices, we can gently interrupt autopilot and bring greater awareness to what is happening within us right now.

Today, try taking a few mindful steps. Notice your breathing, the sensations in your body, and the earth beneath you.

What helps you return to the present moment? Share with us in the comments. 🌿

What happens when someone cannot find the words—or even assign a number to what they are feeling?

Thought Field Therapy (TFT) offers a way to work gently with distress without requiring someone to disclose every detail of a traumatic experience.

In this moving ACEP blog, Robert L. Bray, PhD, DCEP, shares an experience from a TFT training that illustrates how body-based techniques can help create space for relief, connection, and healing—even when feelings have remained hidden for decades.
