Southern California Association of Neonatal Nurses We provide nurses who work with high-risk neonates an organization to meet their professional needs.

The Southern California Association of Neonatal Nurses (SCANN), a chapter of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), began in 1989 to provide nurses who work with high-risk neonates an organization to meet their professional needs. SCANN received its charter at the NANN National meeting in New York City in 1991.

Meet Tina, our sweet Social Media Liaison! 📸

Tina has been a nurse for 11 years, spending the first half of her career in the Pediatric CVICU and the second half in the NICU 💕

Her favorite part of being a NICU nurse is welcoming these tiny warriors into the world during high-risk deliveries, watching micropreemies grow from the size of a hand to ready for home, and helping families as they bond with and grow confident caring for their new baby 🚼

Tina is passionate about her involvement in SCANN, where she enjoys staying up to date on the latest NICU research and contributing to her professional community 📝

In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring new artisanal bakeries, and going on adventures with her baby 🥐
