THE RELATIONSHIP MINISTRY
Is for anyone in who has ever been through a breakup, separation, or divorce, or in the midst of a breakup, separation, or divorce, or contemplating to do so. The ministry seeks to help those who are still hurting or haven't fully recovered from their hurts or past break-ups, to find ways to put all the pieces of their lives back together again, and to do so without repea
ting the same mistakes from their past. At this time, we are currently offering two programs:
"Boundaries" and "Hearts Restored"
"BOUNDARIES"
Is an 8-week series, by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend, that help us define who we are and who we are not. The Boundaries program helps guide us to take control of our lives; where to draw the line and under what circumstances. It addresses specific issues in Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual boundaries to help today’s Christians understand where they are, what their limits are, and where others fit in. This is a crucial skill for all people, especially for those entering new relationships and those needing to strengthen their boundaries that have previously been weakened from old relationships. This resource will encourage and inspire you to have healthy limits, to set your boundaries, and to not feel guilty about it.
“HEARTS RESTORED”
Is a 13-week series designed to help men and women recover from breakups, separations, or divorce. Healing from past disappointments is critical in developing future healthy relationships, and we believe you'll come away with a new perspective on the life God wants for you. For this program, we are currently using the national DivorceCare curriculum. Although the key focus is for those who are going through or who have gone through a separation or divorce, this curriculum is well written to help men and women get a better understanding to realize their strengths and weaknesses in “any” relationship or breakup and how to make subtle changes necessary to enhance new and old relationships. We will help you find answers to many of your questions as well as help you move from hurting to healing, as you walk forward through the days, weeks and months. You will discover ……where to find the strength to go on, how to get passed the loneliness, how to identify and express your emotions in ways that are healthy and suited to you, how to establish new boundaries with past relationships and new relationships, what the Bible says, and various ways to help your children in this time of change. With the guidance from the national curriculum's counselors & experts on breakups, separation, and divorce, the following topics will be covered during this 13 week series:
· What’s Happening to Me?
· The Road to Healing/Finding Help
· Facing My Anger
· Facing My Depression
· Facing My Loneliness
· What Does the Owners Manual Say?
· New Relationships
· Financial Survival
· KidCare
· Single Sexuality
· Forgiveness
