Most modern shoes compress your toes, elevate your heel, and limit how your feet naturally move. Over time, your feet lose strength and function because they’ve never been given the space to work the way they were designed to. 👣

The fix starts with creating space. Toe spacers can help restore natural alignment, improve foot awareness, and undo years of compression. Once your feet can move properly again, you can rebuild real strength, balance, and control through movement and consistency.

Most people never question their socks. They’ll spend hours researching shoes, insoles, and foot exercises, but the layer sitting directly against their feet every day gets overlooked.

The reality is that your toes were designed to move independently. They help create balance, distribute pressure, adapt to the ground, and contribute to stability with every step.

Traditional socks bundle the toes together into a single narrow compartment. It may seem insignificant, but when your toes spend 12 to 16 hours a day compressed together, it influences how they interact with the ground.

➡️We often blame our feet for being weak, unstable, or uncomfortable. But sometimes the issue isn’t our feet at all.

Sometimes it’s the environment we’ve kept them in for years. Link in our bio to check our range of socks that free your feet. It’s hard to wear anything but our anatomical socks after you’ve tried them 👣

Mick and I built Spacer Mobility to help with my foot and knee pain and for the last 8 years we’ve been watching our Spacer Mobility customers do everything right with toe spacers, using the Rock Mat, balancing tools… but then putting their feet straight back into shoes that undo all of it.

We looked for a barefoot shoe that could actually keep up with a full day. Something you could take to the gym in the morning and still be wearing at school drop off, out in the city, wherever the day takes you. Something that didn’t look like a wellness experiment. It didn’t exist the way we wanted it so we built it.

NUNORM Shoes has a natural shaped toe box, zero drop, flexible sole. No interference. Just a shoe that lets your feet keep doing what you’ve been training them to do.

Just over a year ago our first Kickstarter orders shipped. If you’ve been putting in the work with your Spacer Mobility tools and haven’t looked at NUNORM yet, then now is the time.

To celebrate this one year milestone we’re giving our loyal Spacer Mobility community 35% off. Comment Shoes and we’ll send you your exclusive discount code straight to your DM’s. Valid for one week only ✨

This is the origin story of the Rock Mat 🪨

We spent two years in Hong Kong watching people take off their shoes and walk pebble trails like it was the most normal thing in the world. Then we went to Oman and our barefoot tour guide put us to shame in a canyon. Somewhere between those two moments, the Rock Mat was born.

This stuff isn’t new. People across Asia have been doing it for centuries. We just wanted to bring it home.

We keep ours in the bathroom so we’re standing on it while we brush our teeth, by the stove while we’re cooking, and one in the guest bathroom to give visitors a little surprise. Two minutes a day is honestly all it takes to wake up your feet and stimulate over 200,000 sensory receptors.

And if you want a study, the research from the Oregon Research Institute (ORI) found that walking on cobblestone mats significantly reduces blood pressure and improves balance and physical function in adults over 60. Read the full study for more info.

Quick feet start with strong foundations. 👣

Improving foot speed isn’t just about moving faster. It’s about ankle stability, balance, control, and strength. Strong feet help you react quicker, stay more explosive, and move with confidence on and off the field.
Train your feet. Train your movement.

Your feet have 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles.

And most of us have never once trained them.

Every step, every lift, every run starts at the ground. When your foundation is weak, everything above it compensates…your ankles, your knees, your hips, your back.

Most people wait until something hurts to pay attention. We think that’s too late.

Follow for more on what proactive foot health actually looks like.

Ankle and foot strength are the foundation of how your body moves and performs. Power starts from the ground up. Strong feet and ankles can improve stability, balance, movement quality, and overall performance while helping your body absorb and transfer force more efficiently. Don’t neglect the foundation.

Strong feet start with healthy movement.

Improving ankle mobility, toe splay, and foot stability can help you move better, balance better, and build a stronger foundation from the ground up.

Toe spacers can help restore natural toe alignment, improve foot awareness, and support better foot function over time. Pair that with mobility work and strengthening exercises for long term foot health.

Healthy feet matter more than people think. Your feet are your base for walking, lifting, running, and everyday movement. 👣

Did you know some people believe your foot shape says something about your personality or even your heritage?

It’s an interesting idea and one that shows up across different cultures, but it’s more symbolic than scientific.

Your structure is shaped by genetics, but also by your environment, your footwear, and how your body moves over time.

Understanding your foot shape can help you make better choices around footwear, movement, and how you take care of your body from the ground up.
