What an incredible team effort at the Niteharts 3-day music festival at Snapdragon Stadium.

Over three days, our AMR crews, working side by side with our partners at CrowdRx, provided medical standby services for 81,835 attendees. Together, the team responded to 323 medical incidents, with 36 patients requiring transport, including 26 ALS and 10 BLS transports.

Despite attendance growing more than three times the prior year's attendance, the total number of patient transports decreased from 63 to 36, a reduction of approximately 43%.

Those numbers are impressive, but they only tell part of the story.

One of our biggest goals this year was to provide exceptional medical care onsite while minimizing the event's impact on the surrounding 911 and hospital systems. The results demonstrate the impact of that shared approach.

A special thank you to our CrowdRx partners. Their expertise, collaboration, and seamless integration with our AMR teams demonstrated what is possible when two teams come together around a shared mission.

And most importantly, thank you to every crew member who made the weekend possible. Your professionalism, resilience, teamwork, and commitment to patient care helped create a safe experience for tens of thousands of patrons while supporting the larger emergency medical system and community.

One team focused on one mission: keeping care at the center. Outstanding work by an outstanding team. ❤️ 🚑

From the National City Fire Department Open House at Station 34 to the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Department Annual Pancake Breakfast at Station One and the San Diego County Fire Open House at Julian Station 50, communities across the region came together to learn, connect, and celebrate the fire service.

As we recognize Fire Prevention Month each October, these events highlight the importance of being present in the communities we serve. Through fire safety education, station tours, hands-on activities and Hands-Only CPR training provided by AMR, community members gained valuable knowledge and lifesaving skills that can make a difference in an emergency. Fire Prevention Month is observed each October to promote fire safety awareness and education.

Thank you to everyone who attended, including our partners at National City Fire Department, RSF Fire Department and CAL Fire/San Diego County Fire for helping make these events such a success. Opportunities like these strengthen our connection with the public, promote preparedness, and reflect our commitment to Keep Care at the Center every day. 🚒❤️

Keeping Care at the Center in Our Communities ❤️

Please join us in congratulating Paramedic Enrique Sinohui and EMT Rebecca Mercado, who were recognized at the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce: Salute to Local Heroes event at Sycuan Casino Resort. Presented by our very own paramedic associate supervisor, Daniel Pol, this award honors their exceptional response to a life-threatening medical emergency in La Mesa.

Enrique and Rebecca exemplified our core behavior, Keep Care at the Center, through their compassion, clinical expertise, and unwavering focus on their patient during a witnessed cardiac arrest. Working seamlessly alongside fire personnel and hospital staff, they provided critical lifesaving care and helped give the patient the best possible chance of recovery.
Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to those they serve make us incredibly proud.

Congratulations, Enrique and Rebecca, and thank you for making a difference when it mattered most! 👏🚑❤️

Last month, nearly two dozen AMR paramedics and EMTs from across Southern and Central California competed in an all-day challenge testing emergency response, driving, and patient-care skills.

Participants representing operations in San Diego, Palm Springs, Riverside, Monterey, Santa Maria, Imperial County, and other regions were evaluated by EMS instructors from Southwestern College and Palomar College, with top performers advancing to a statewide competition in Sacramento next month.

AMR is honored to support and be a part of the Sherman Heights Community Center's Dia de los Mu***os Celebration from Oct 15th thru Nov 2nd.

Please come and visit the AMR ofrenda that honors team members who have passed, and see all the other beautifully decorated community altars.

Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) is a vibrant traditional Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased loved ones with food, music, and decorated altars (ofrendas).

AMR San Diego was proud to participate and be recognized as a top training partner in the region’s Revive & Survive initiative, a joint effort of UC San Diego's Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and the County of San Diego - Government Emergency Medical Services Office to teach Hands-Only CPR to 1 million San Diego County residents.

Everyday our crews provide care at a moment’s notice, but we are also dedicated to creating and participating in prevention programs to keep our community safe.

Since the program launched in 2024, AMR San Diego’s EMTs and paramedics have taught thousands of local residents this critical life-saving skill across the county – at street fairs, shopping malls, sporting events and more.

We commend the organizers and the many partners who stepped forward to prepare San Diegans to become life-savers.

And the work is not done, so if you want to learn Hands Only CPR please join us at one of our partner events this October!
