We have all been deeply inspired by the power built by the Black Lives Matter movement and the focus on ending police brutality in the wake of the killing of George Floyd.

Today, we launch our Momentum, together for Black lives campaign—a call to challenge racism, fix the broken policing system and protect the Black vote. Now more than ever, we must continue to listen, learn and take action.

In the USA, join us to support the BREATHE Act. This visionary bill will divest our taxpayer dollars from brutal and discriminatory policing and invests in a new public safety vision.

Lushies of UTC San Diego, we are reopening our doors to allow customers inside to shop starting this Wednesday, September 16th! We are requiring that our Lushies wear masks when entering the shop and our staff will be doing the same.

You can expect these safety precautions from our team: we will ask all customers to wash their hands upon entering our shop, our teams will not be offering demos, our staff will be staying a safe distance away from you at all times, we will be wiping down all payment tools like pin pads after each use, and each team member will be wearing masks. Things might also look a bit different as we've limited our product displays to ensure that you are always getting fresh items straight from the box.

We are so excited to get you your favorite Lush products while keeping everyone safe. We're still offering our contact-less pickup options if you do not want to come inside the shop as well!

We can't wait to see your fresh (masked) faces on Wednesday! 😊

This week's skincare routine is V's! V is a Floor Leader here at Lush UTC San Diego. She has dry skin that occasionally breaks out. V prefers a deep cleaning routine with a lot of moisture.

1. V begins her routine with Ultrabland Facial Cleanser. Ultrabland is a thick, rich emulsion of essential oils (like honey and beeswax) to take off any make up or residue that has built up on your face throughout the day. She prefers to take her time massaging it into the skin as a way of disconnecting from her day and taking some needed "me" time.
2. After massaging her pre-cleanse in, V reaches for Angels on Bare Skin Face and Body Cleanser to double cleanse. Angels on Bare Skin has a heavenly blend of cleansing kaolin clay, ground almonds and a soothing blend of lavender, rose and chamomile oils to soften and hydrate her skin.
3. Next, V spritzes her face with our Eau Roma Water Toner. Eau Roma Water only contains 2 active ingredients, lavender water and rose water. This will help her facial oil absorb into her skin with greater ease.
3. Lastly, V uses Light Touch Facial Oil. She loves this solid facial oil because it contains blue spirulina: a microalgae that protects skin from environmental damage.

Happy !

Every Saturday we'll be sharing our staff's current skincare routine with all of you. This week is Kayla, our Manager in Training's skincare routine. Kayla has red, breakout prone skin that tends to run on the oilier side.

1. Kayla begins her routine with Herbalism Face and Body Cleanser. This kaolin-based cleanser contains a nettle, rosemary and rice vinegar extract to help combat breakouts and soak up all of the excess oil on her face.
2. After washing off her cleanser, Kayla applies Mask of Magnaminty Face and Body Mask for 10-15 minutes. This also helps to combat breakouts and get a deeper cleanse thanks to all of the peppermint oil and kaolin clay inside!
3. Next, Kayla spritzes her face with our Eau Roma Water Toner. Eau Roma Water only contains 2 active ingredients, lavender water and rose water. Both ingredients will help to calm and soothe her red skin!
3. Lastly, Kayla applies Gorgeous Moisturizer. Gorgeous is a lightweight moisturizer that helps to leave your skin feeling soft and and matte thanks to all of the soothing ingredients inside like orange blossom honey and extra virgin olive oil.

Hey, Lushies of San Diego! My name is Gen and I'm a Sales Ambassador here at Lush UTC. I'm so excited to be back at work in the shop to support your contact-less orders and wanted to share some things about myself with you all.

I've worked for Lush for almost 3 years now and started as a Seasonal Sales Ambassador back in 2017!

A fun fact about me is that I collect records and invest my free time into social justice! I also make a bangin' plate of spaghetti! 🍝

We just got another batch of our fresh face masks in. These are available for purchase by walking up to the shop and paying on-site (no cash payments!), and can also be purchased as a part of your buy-online pickup in-store orders.

Looking for something to beat this heat? Look no further! This is our favorite minty routine for the summer!

1. Mask of Magnaminty Face and Body Mask is packed full of peppermint and kaolin clay to dig up any dirt and grime hangin' out underneath your skin. Slather it all over your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes to leave your face feeling refreshed after a long day in the sun.
2. Once you've got your mask on, run a bath, drop Dirty bath bomb in and jump in the tub! The spearmint and peppermint work in unison to cool your body down and relax sore muscles.
3. Next, wash off with our Dirty Springwash Shower Gel to keep the minty coolness goin' strong!
4. Lastly, follow up with Magic Crystals Shower Scrub and Tingle Body Conditioner and let the menthol crystals work their magic to revitalize your skin!
