It was an honor to offer our seed saving initiative with the Los Angeles Federation of Labor at their Annual MLK Day Breakfast 2026: Back to Our Roots.

This gathering was a call to remember where we come from and why that history matters. Seed by seed, we honor the labor, resilience, and knowledge that built our communities. We’re proud to have provided our first bulk seed order of red burgundy okra and fish eye black-eyed peas.

Growing out black-eyed pea seed from the Ezelle family, carriers of a long lineage of preservation and perseverance, was a powerful reminder that food sovereignty is resistance.

We’re now offering bulk and individual seed orders and taking requests to grow specific seeds because protecting our roots is how we grow our future 🌱✊🏾
