Chronic Health Wisdom

Chronic Health Wisdom Health coaching by an RN and diabetes educator who blends holistic approaches with standard care. Chronic Health Wisdom was founded by Cheri Sacks, R.N., CDCES.

Cheri has 25+ years experience as a nurse, health coach and diabetes educator. She has a passion for helping people achieve their best possible health and quality of life. Cheri observed the benefits of medicinal cannabis while helping her husband cope with a cancer diagnosis. Balancing various cannabinoids helped keep his treatment symptoms under control while extending his life for an additional

year and a half. During this time, Cheri found that cannabis was able to help her deal with her own health issues with fewer side effects than standard prescription pharmaceuticals. Cheri’s current goal is to help educate others who want to use plant medicine to live their best lives.

Wishing you a gentle, meaningful Thanksgiving, whether it’s shared with others, celebrated quietly, or simply observed as another day.

For some, today is full of family and food.
For others, it may feel quiet, complicated, or tender.
However this holiday meets you, I hope you can find a small moment of comfort, a peaceful breath, a favorite show, or a little kindness offered to yourself.

I’m grateful for you — truly. 💛

The Holiday Shift: Choosing Health Over Hustle

This season, balance looks different for me.
It’s getting the necessary things done, letting go of the unimportant tasks and accepting things that aren't 100% perfect.

Usually, I move through my days with a lot of structure and a to-do list. But lately, that pace hasn’t felt supportive. So I’ve been doing something simple.

💨 I take a deep breath.
🤩 I look around.
🌟 And I choose the one thing that matters most right now.

The more I regulate my own nervous system, the more support I can offer to others. I see this in my own life and in the women I coach. When we stop pushing so hard, we realise what's important.

If the holiday season feels heavy, I created something to help you regain steadiness: the Calm & Bright Holiday Health Checklist. It's my gift to you. A simple guide to help you breathe, reset, and take care of yourself during this crazy holiday season.

Simple, doable, and powerful.
One of my favorite ways clients stay on track during the holidays:
Choose 1–2 non-negotiables per day or every few days to check things off your list.
Examples: “Walk 10 minutes after dinner” or “Stop eating when I’m comfortably full.”

A health coach helps you find the habits that actually work for your life.

💛 Kindness is good for your heart—literally!

When you show kindness to others, your body releases oxytocin, the “love hormone” that helps lower stress and boost feelings of connection and calm. 🌿

A simple smile or kind word can lift both hearts. 💫

💛 World Kindness Day 💛

A small act of kindness can change someone’s entire day! It should start with how we treat ourselves. 💙

Today, take a moment to offer compassion, patience, and care to others and to yourself.
Kindness is healing energy in motion. ✨

The words you speak to yourself matter.

They can actually shift your mindset, calm your nervous system, and help your body relax. When you say things like “I am healing,” “I am enough,” or “My body is doing its best,” you’re sending your brain a message of safety and hope.

Over time, those small, positive statements help rewire how you respond to stress and support your overall well-being.

Start with one today, and repeat it often. Your body is listening. 💚
