Happy Saturday folks! Today we want to introduce you to our fabulous collaborator and peer-reviewer, Emeric Kennard 💗

Emeric L. Kennard is a storyteller practicing how to make kaleidoscopes from the fracture art of cycle-breaking. They create across multiple mediums including illustration, comics, zines, and writing. Their forthcoming work "I Don't Know How to Say This / 이걸 어떻게 말해야 할지 모르겠어" will be published as part of the 뿌리 (Roots) project, a collaborative Korean American artist book curated by Andre Lee Bassuet. Their most recent comic work appears in the book 9 Ways to Make Housing for People, a community-centered manual for urban housing from David Baker Architects. Emeric is among the artists featured in the acclaimed documentary “No Straight Lines: The Rise of Q***r Comics," now available to stream on PBS until April 23rd.

Joseph Liatela is an interdisciplinary artist based in New York City. Using performance, sculpture, and video, he makes work that examines issues of biopolitics, institutional power, trans and q***r subjectivities, surveillance, collective movement, projection, and embodiment.

The works included within his first solo gallery exhibition, Nothing Under Heaven, explore the need for connection, pleasure, and agency within oppressive systems.

Have we mentioned how much we LOVE our design team? 💗💗💗 Meet the geniuses behind our first issue - But Whole Press

But Whole Press is a collective, a dream, and a messy studio. They harness micro-publishing, design, and slow collaborations to foster community. BWP utilizes digital and personal strategies to weave their interdependent practices together. In an increasingly atomized atmosphere, we ought to act while considering the Whole.
