California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) recently released the updated guidance (APL 26-014) on July 1st that Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans must provide an annual cognitive health assessment for eligible members 65+ who do not have Medicare.

Dementia Care Aware is here to support and provide free training to help detect dementia early.

Dementia Care Aware partnered with Alter Dementia and SageNavigator to provide FREE cognitive screenings for older adults in African American communities in Georgia through the 100 Minds Cognitive Screening Project. They screened 100+ people at an event in April and May!

✨ 70% had never received a memory screening.
🗣️ 68% had never talked to a healthcare provider about their brain health. And yet...
💭 63% said they have concerns about their memory.
