Happy ❤️ Walk Lifesaver Day!

The University of San Francisco is proud to be a part of the American Heart Association’s Bay Area Heart Walk, which will take place in Santa Rosa on 9/15, Walnut Creek on 9/21, and San Francisco on 9/26.

We are standing with the millions of Americans who are affected by heart disease and stroke. 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside of the hospital die. In most of these cases, bystander CPR was not performed. We can change this and save more lives in the Bay Area. Imagine if every walker and their loved ones knew how to respond in a cardiac emergency and could become a lifesaver.

Today’s goal is to get EVERYONE registered on a team, and to learn Hands-Only CPR by watching a 90 second video! Additionally for every walker that registers today, a face mask will be donated to a local community center in need by a generous sponsor.
