"I was nervous about having surgery, so it was important for me to work with people I felt I could trust, both in terms of technical expertise and human connection.

Dr. Facque and the GCC medical team were wonderful in that regard. Dr. Facque listened to what I wanted and helped me understand what would work for my body and my goals.

As a trans nonbinary person without testosterone, I hadn't seen many results that mirrored my body and aspirations, and Dr. Facque totally got it and delivered. I love my chest. Dr. Facque is a sculptor with attention to detail. He also did an amazing job on my composite ni**le grafts. I never expected that I would be in awe of my own ni**les (and other people are too!

My main reason for wanting neurotization was to keep ni**le sensation, and that was a success. My ni**les regained full erotic sensation within the first few months after surgery."

Today, we remember and celebrate Marsha P. Johnson.

Born August 24, 1945, Marsha became one of the most recognizable figures in the LGBTQ+ rights movement. She was on the front lines at Stonewall, advocated fiercely for gay and transgender people, and alongside Sylvia Rivera, co-founded STAR to provide support and shelter for unhoused LGBTQ+ youth.

Her activism helped create space for generations of LGBTQ+ people who came after her.

This Trans History Month, we're celebrating the people who pushed boundaries, built community, demanded better, and refused to disappear 🩷🤍💙

Happy birthday, Marsha. Your legacy lives on. 🏳️‍⚧️💛

🤍 What did you want out of your surgery?
"I was truly just hoping to have my body match my soul."

🤍 What did you like about the care you received from your surgeon & our medical staff?
"Dr. Ley just made me feel so comfortable with all the aspects of the procedures and recovery process. She took the extra time to explain all of the options, what to expect for each of them, and to answer all of my questions. Knowing that I was able to choose the right option for me, instead of just one specific process/operation, was very comforting. I also had a real appreciation knowing that Dr. Ley has been through similar surgeries, so her consultation came from having lived the experience. Everyone on the staff was always so friendly and helpful; always made me feel more like family than just a patient."

🤍 How has your surgery impacted your daily life or sense of self?
"I truly just feel so - finally - complete. Completely centered in my body, in myself. The regular strain from dysphoria is non-existent."

🤍 What would you say to someone considering surgery with GCC?
"I would say: Book your consultation. I don't feel I need to say more. I know the family at GCC will make them feel welcome and answer all their questions."
