I seriously cannot stress how beautiful Palestinians are… to be able to smile through what they’ve seen and are going through… Is incredible.. I just got to FaceTime with Bassem for the first time, the connection was poor, the sound of drones, planes and the shaking of the makeshift building he is in from bombs happening all around him…. To watch and hear that in real time… was such an eye opener… and the fact that this beautiful man just sat there and had a huge smile just to see marlei and I despite all that’s happening he was so happy… my heart has broken a thousand times over…

The situation in the north especially after the flour massacre is just getting worse… my friend Bassem has been in a flooded tent with no food for a few days… he has his 2 nephews with him… they are trying desperately to get out Bassem recently suffered pretty severe burns to his feet/legs and needs medical attention! If you can donate or even share please please PLEASE do what you can. No one should have to live through this and no part of this is normal but these are REAL PEOPLE living through real life tragedy…
