š So, Iām clearly obsessed with fragrance. š š¼ šŖµšš¹ To know me is to know I have a fragrance closet. Itās so cute and my SF kitchen had one built in (probs for spices). Iām also a Picese moon so I feel all the things. Always. A gift and a curse. But fragrance takes you there. Immediately. Our sense of smell is directly connected to the parts of our brain that process memory and emotion.
Thatās why a single scent can instantly transport you back to a person, a place, or a feeling before you even have time to think about it. Your momās Chanel No 5 might bring you to tears (depending on when/where you smell it) from your deep connection to her and her smell. Or it can be as light as Hugo Boss reminding me of every hs boy?
We kept coming back to that as we created The Pause. Itās so grounding. And sexy. And warm.
We wanted it to become a ritual like it is for us. A scent your mind begins to associate with slowing down, taking three deep breaths, and coming back to yourself. Even one deep breath counts.
Every detail was intentional.
The engraving. The gold lettering. The weight of the bottle in your hand.
I hope it sits in a place you can view it often, if only for a beautiful reminder to slow down. Love you so much.
