Just like that, it is the end of May and our time with our spring interns has come to an end😪 Between our 6 six amazing interns, they contributed 779 volunteer hours during the spring semester to support us in entering referrals from community clinics, completing eligibility screening calls, assisting with patient care coordination, supporting at recent surgery sessions, and so much more! 🙌

Healthy Vision Month is a reminder to stay on top of your eye health with routine exams and preventive care. Early detection is important for identifying conditions like cataracts and pterygiums before they worsen. Through Operation Access, eligible uninsured patients can access specialty care for vision conditions diagnosed during eye exams. 💙

Today is Big Day of Giving—a 24-hour effort to support nonprofits across our region.

At Operation Access, we’re seeing increased demand from patients who need specialty care and don’t have insurance. We work to connect them to services like colonoscopies, surgeries, and follow-up care—at no cost to the patient.

Today, we have a $5,000 matching gift in place, so donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar until those funds are used.

Big Day of Giving is here and early giving has already begun.

Right now, more people in our community are going without health insurance and delaying the care they need. At Operation Access, we help bridge that gap by connecting patients to specialty care- from cancer screenings to surgery, at no cost.

For a limited time, all gifts are being matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000. That means your support can go twice as far in helping patients access care they would otherwise go without.

Every day, we see what happens when someone finally gets the care they’ve been waiting for: relief from chronic pain, early detection of serious illness, the ability to return to work and support their family. Your gift makes that possible.

We're thrilled to share that during our Kaiser San Leandro GI session on April 18th, we had 56 volunteers contribute 222 hours of their time and expertise to complete 17 successful GI procedures for 16 uninsured patients at high risk for colon cancer💙

With the help of our three providers and medical teams, 5 polyps were removed and all patients received their diagnosis and treatment plan to begin their journey towards a pain-free, thriving life, able to care for their families and return to their daily routines.

During National Volunteer Week, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible impact of our community 💙

At our recent Kaiser San Leandro GI session, 56 volunteers came together to donate over 200 hours of service, ensuring that 16 high-risk patients received life-saving colonoscopies.

This work is only possible because of you, your time, your compassion, and your commitment to expanding access to care. Thank you for showing up and making a real difference.
