A non-surgical option for knee pain is gaining recognition.
In May 2026, the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) formally recognized Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E) as an evidence-based, minimally invasive treatment option for knee osteoarthritis.
G*E may help reduce knee pain and improve mobility for people who have not found enough relief from conservative treatments and want to explore alternatives to knee replacement surgery.
At SFVVI, Dr. Dan Nathanson offers G*E as a minimally invasive option for knee pain relief.
Schedule a consultation to see if G*E may be an option for you.
