National Infertility Awareness Week is a time to recognize the many paths to building a family, and the strength it takes to keep going.
This week, we’re sharing stories from the Alto community to shed light on the realities of infertility and the impact that access and support can have.
Kyla and her family have been on a six-year journey to grow their family, in hopes of giving their son, Joey, a sibling.
Along the way, they experienced miscarriages, multiple procedures, and were ultimately told she was unable to carry—leaving the path forward filled with questions and uncertainty. Having both experienced the loss of a sibling, the hope of giving Joey that same bond has always meant so much to Kyla and her husband.
Today, their journey holds a new kind of hope. Through surrogacy, along with support from Baby Quest and Alto, they found a way to keep moving forward.
“We’re incredibly thankful to share that our surrogate is now 13 weeks pregnant. Reaching this point feels surreal and deeply meaningful to our family.”
Stories like Kyla and Matt’s are a reminder that infertility journeys are rarely straightforward or easy, and that support, in all its forms, can make a meaningful difference.
