Sagrada RD

Sagrada RD Sagrada is a sacred space for grief, death work, & ancestral healing.

Rooted in decolonial practices honoring the endings that shape us & the ancestors who walk with us.
✨ Grief Rituals • End-of-Life Support • Somatic Healing • Ancestral Connection✨ Roots was born from a desire to bring the healing qualities of the ancient philosophy of Yoga and Ayurveda to everyone - not just those who can afford it. Minerva saw a need in her community - from the people in her neig

hborhood, to her family, former colleagues, organizing spaces and beyond. There was a need for comprehensive, accessible, healing tools that anchor us in our mind, body and spirit. Dreaming about the ways in which to bring this to life and slowly putting the pieces in place, Minerva is beside herself to bring life to Roots.

We experience a death, a profound loss, a major shift...and we still wake up. We go to work. We raise children. We make dinner. We laugh. We celebrate birthdays. We fall in love. We become different versions of ourselves.

And our grief comes with us …
Because grief exists in relationship.

So much of what we have been taught about grief has been shaped by individualism. The idea that grief is something happening inside of us that we should learn to manage, process, and eventually move beyond.

But there are other ways of understanding loss. Within the ancestral and relational worldview that grounds my work, death does not necessarily end relationship. Our relationship with those who have transitioned changes. We change. The ways we remember, speak to, carry, honor, and understand them may change. But relationship can continue.

And if relationship continues, then perhaps the question to sit with is: How do I learn to live in relationship with it?

This is the foundation of The Sacred Grief Circle.

For eight weeks, six of us will gather in an intimate space where grief can be tended through relationship: with our bodies, with one another, with ritual, with our Ancestors and our dead, and with the lives that continue to unfold around our losses.

There is no destination I am trying to get you to. We will make space for what remains, what changes, what continues, and what asks to be witnessed.

The Sacred Grief Circle begins September 9.

Six participants · Eight weeks · Live online
Wednesdays at 8pm ET
Investment · $500

There comes a point when being resourceful is no longer enough. You know how to make it work, how to adjust, how to survive there. Maybe you’ve been doing it for so long that you know you could keep doing it.
But somewhere inside, you also know: this no longer works for me.

And there is grief in admitting that. Because sometimes we aren’t only grieving what was. We are grieving what could have been…the unlived future that never had the opportunity to disappoint us completely.

I’ve been sitting deeply with this in my own life lately: the difference between perseverance and resistance, and what it means to trust myself enough to move even when I cannot guarantee what happens next.

Ọya keeps bringing me back to the same lesson: pay attention when the wind changes. As her Priestess, her wisdom has profoundly shaped how I understand endings, transformation, and the faith required to honor what is ending while still leaning forward into a life we cannot fully see yet.

That is the conversation behind Moving with the Wind: The Wisdom of Ọya & the Art of Transformation. I created this two-part immersive for us to sit together with sacred endings, embodied change, the grief of letting go, and what it might mean to cultivate enough trust in ourselves, Spirit, and what is emerging to actually move.

If you’re standing somewhere between “I know this cannot continue” and “I don’t know what comes next,” come sit with me.

September 3 & 10 | 8pm ET / 5pm PT

Part 4 of 4 ✨

There was so much more I wanted to say, many parts taken out to try to make this as condensed as possible (I think I need to just share the full, in depth story on my YouTube) but I felt inspired to share because this experience is such an important foundation of this work and my approach to grief, death, endings, transitions, and coming out on the other side.

thank you for listening 💜🙏🏽

I’ve only ever shared a tiny piece of this story here.

This is the story of the day I died giving birth to Ṣadé Zara and what I experienced in the space between life and death.

It’s also a story I understand very differently now than I did then.

It’s been a dream of mine since my childhood to be a professor. And, finally in Spring 2027, I get to officially step into that role. ✨

𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐞

here’s the rest of the course description:
Through readings, dialogue, and reflective inquiry, students will place Ifá wisdom in conversation with depth and transpersonal psychology, exploring points of resonance and difference. Attention will be given to the possibilities and limitations of interpreting Ifá through Western psychological language. Rather than seeking equivalence, the course invites students to consider what becomes possible when Ifá is engaged on its own terms and brought into dialogue with contemporary understandings of psyche, consciousness, relationship, and psychological and spiritual life.

so excited. & so grateful ✨
