Nate Favini, Our Chief Medical and Strategy Officer, recently appeared on the GoToHealth! Podcast with Jonathan Marx to discuss the imperative of patient engagement in Medicaid.

In the episode, “Unlocking Medicaid Savings with Highly Engaged Patients,” Dr. Favini explores how empowering patients to take an active role in their care not only improves outcomes but also drives meaningful cost savings across the Medicaid system. He highlights how Pair Team’s community-integrated care model connects underserved populations to comprehensive, whole-person support by addressing both medical and social needs.

Pair Team was honored to sponsor and attend the YWCA Monterey County Domestic Violence Awareness Luncheon, where local women were recognized for their advocacy and impact in creating safer, more supportive communities.

For nearly 55 years, YWCA Monterey County has been a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence by providing mental health care, housing assistance, and legal support for individuals and families to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. Their work truly embodies the spirit of whole-person care.

We’re proud to stand alongside YWCA Monterey County and its community of advocates as we continue working toward a future where every person has access to safety, care, and opportunity. Thank you, Crystal Espitia and Javier Diaz from our partnership team, for showing your support.

With the government shutdown threatening SNAP benefits next month, the stakes couldn’t be higher for the people we serve at Pair Team.

Many of the high-need Medicaid beneficiaries we support are SNAP-eligible — and for them, a missed benefit is the difference between having food on the table or not. We know that when our patients go hungry, their chronic conditions can worsen, mental health declines, and avoidable emergency visits increase.

That’s why we’re funding over 17,000 emergency grocery deliveries to ensure that every SNAP-eligible patient we serve receives the nutrition they need in November.

This effort is powered by Pair Team and the Pair Impact Network, our incredible network of community-based organizations who help meet the social needs of our patients every day.If you’re an organization interested in partnering or supporting this effort, we’d love to connect — please reach out directly.

Together, we can make sure our communities stay healthy and nourished.
