In a national first, California is making asthma medication FREE and available at public and charter schools across the state. Through CalRx®, California will provide emergency albuterol inhalers and spacers at no cost for three years — helping schools respond immediately when a child is struggling to breathe as part of the School Albuterol Access Initiative. To receive inhalers and spacers, schools can place an order on the California Department of Public Health website at: https://standingorders.cdph.ca.gov/

Slow down, school’s back in session 🚗✏️
SFMTA has reduced speed limits in school zones to 15MPH! Thank you to our city partners who came together to unveil the new signs and a huge thank you to all the crossing guards who help get student safety to and from school.

No matter how students get to school, their journey should be safe. Make sure to slow down and stay alert as thousands of students go back to school this week!
