My friend snapped this pic of me in my happy place - post card reading, tea in hand, all my tools and symbols and rituals around me.
This is where you’ll find me doing client mentoring sessions, switching it up to study online, then change hats again to record a podcast or audio guide. Which is to say, it’s a versatile and creative space!
Part of that study had been about universal design and the impact of environmental factors on a neurodivergent person’s ability to not only participate in that environment, but get to express themselves and experience continued learning and growth in that environment.
This is why seemingly small or silly sensory things are such a big deal for us: the too bright lights, the loud noises, constant distractability, not enough stimulation, too much or not enough space - if all adds up in the capacity calculator. It gets expensive to be internally managing these things before work even gets a look in!
In my human design I’m a markets environment and in this space I feeeeeel the thriving (not what they meant at uni - but same applies!). I live above shops, am walking distance to where I access most of my services, and then at home I have my own little inner market - my books, crystals, vases and art on display. It’s a beautiful balance between space and interest, nature and the tangible, and it’s a wonderful reminder anytime I need to come back to myself a little more.
Anchors, for sure, but more so the importance of what’s possible when we are in alignment at also an energetic level with our environment. When it makes us hum with connective energy. It’s a privilege to finally get to experience this for myself.
