1 in 8 people in the United States has ge***al herpes - and up to 90% don't even know they're carrying it.
So why isn't anyone talking about this little purple wildflower?
Self Heal (Prunella vulgaris) is one of the most researched and most overlooked herbs in plant medicine. It grows wild across North America - in lawns, meadows, and roadsides
and most people walk right over it without a second thought.
Here's what the research actually says:
Antiviral against HSV-1 & HSV-2 - shown to interfere with the virus's ability to replicate
(PMID: 38185640)
Immune modulating- regulates your immune response, not just stimulates it
Anti-inflammatory- internally and topically Antimicrobial- supports wound healing and fights bacteria
Rich in rosmarinic acid- one of the most powerful antiviral plant compounds known
(PMCID: PMC9261270)
HSV-1 ge***al infections tend to be milder and recur less often than HSV-2 ge***al infections.
Both types can be transmitted even without visible sores or active outbreaks - a phenomenon called asymptomatic shedding which makes transmission common even when no symptoms are present. Once contracted, both types remain dormant in the nervous system for life, with outbreaks triggered by stress, illness, hormonal changes, or immune suppression.
Use it as a tea, tincture, infused oil, or poultice.
For viral support - consistent use of a strong tea or tincture is where you'll see the most benefit.
This is exactly why I keep saying, your yard is a pharmacy
Your kitchen is a medicine cabinet.
God didn't leave us without provision.
