Healing isn't linear. Pause. Reflect. Reconnect. Explore. Pray. Rest. Live.
Sometimes healing looks like moving forward, pausing, stepping away from the noise and simply being still. I’m learning that healing isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about giving yourself permission to pause, reflect, breathe, and begin again. Making time for myself has allowed me to experience new things, create new memories, reconnect with old friends, laugh again, spend intentional time with family, and rediscover pieces of myself that may have been lost along the way.
And most importantly, making space for God. There is something powerful about becoming still enough to hear God, to pray, to reflect, and to surrender the things I cannot control. Not every day feels the same. Some days I feel strong. Some days I need to rest. Some days I reflect on the past and some days I simply thank God for bringing me this far.
Healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It doesn’t mean pretending nothing happened. It means learning, growing, releasing, forgiving, having grace, being grateful, still counting my blessings, and choosing peace one day at a time. You don’t have to rush your healing. God is still working, even in the pauses.
Here’s to new experiences, meaningful connections, family, old friendships, quiet moments, and becoming the person God is calling us to be.
