For providers treating Fitzpatrick IV–VI patients: a 1% tretinoin peel showed a 49% mean reduction in MASI score over 12 weeks with better tolerability than a 70% glycolic acid peel.
Deep peels are often contraindicated in these patients. Medium-depth peels require real caution. This is one of several compounded options we work through with dermatology and med spa partners across California.
