One thing I use all the time during reflexology sessions is lavender essential oil.

Most people think of lavender as just a calming scent, but I honestly consider it one of my little secret weapons during foot reflexology. It helps create an environment where the body can start slowing down instead of staying stuck in stress mode.

I especially love using it with clients who feel overstimulated, tense, emotionally drained, or like they haven’t truly rested in a long time. There’s something about pairing calming touch with lavender that helps people visibly soften during a session.

I use lavender in my own evening routine too. Sometimes I’ll add it to a warm foot soak, diffuse it while winding down at night, or apply it before bed when my nervous system feels especially overwhelmed.

Simple things can have a bigger impact on the body than we realize.

We live in a world where most people are constantly pushing through stress, exhaustion, tension, and overstimulation without ever really slowing down long enough for the body to recover.

That’s one of the reasons I love reflexology so much.

Reflexology is a powerful holistic therapy that targets specific pressure points on the feet and hands, stimulating healing responses in organs and systems throughout the body.

Reflexology is not just about relaxation, it’s about boosting circulation, reducing stress, unblocking nerve endings, and enhancing your overall well-being.

At Sandpoint Reflexology, we focus on helping you promote the body’s natural healing processes.

Whether you're looking for relief from tension, improved energy, or simply a moment of peace, reflexology offers a natural and effective solution.

If the last few years have taught me anything, it’s that faith and health are both deeply personal.

Every family walks through different seasons.

Our physical needs, emotional struggles, and spiritual lives are all unique.

And over the years, I’ve personally wrestled with questions about how faith fits into wellness and caring for our bodies.

Can prayer and hands-on wellness practices work together?

How do we care for our families while still keeping our eyes on Jesus?

What does it actually look like to create intentional moments of peace in everyday life?

Those questions are a big part of why I created this free guide.

Inside, you’ll find simple reflexology practices paired with guided prayer, scripture, and journal prompts designed to help you slow down, support your body, and spend intentional time with the Lord.

My hope is that this guide helps you create small moments of rest and connection in the middle of real life.

I’ve had sacroiliac (low back/hip) joint pain since I was 14.

As a younger woman, I could just power through it, work out around it, stretch it out, and keep on slaying.

Now at 47….not so much!

It stops me in my tracks and forces me to really listen to my body and rest.

I think as women, we normalize dysregulation and disconnect from our bodies, pushing through pain as we nurture and take care of others.

Reflexology can support your journey as you pause to really listen to what your body is crying out, and bring your body back into balance and ease pain.

Don’t ignore it anymore.

My daughter is thriving.

She loves life, loves animals, loves soft pillows and blankets, and deeply loves her friends and her teacher.

She is enjoying softball, dancing in the outfield to songs only she can hear.

She is curious about the natural world and loves Jesus.

She runs hard all day and crashes hard at bedtime.

She is a wonderful reminder that life can be simple and joyful if we remember to focus on movement, sunlight, things that bring joy, and rest.

Her approach helps me recall how simple rhythms can regulate our nervous system.

As an adult, I know that life isn’t simple and often our natural rhythms are set aside to take care of others.

If you are looking for a way to build a natural, regulating rhythm into your life, check out my latest free guide, Restoration through Scripture and Reflexology.

This is an entirely free resource to help you build more rest and joy into your daily rhythm.

Lately this has been one of my favorite ways to wind down in the evenings.

I’ve been making a warm golden milk drink with turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, warm almond milk, and a little honey or stevia. Not only is it cozy, but these ingredients are also known for helping support the body and reduce inflammation.

I usually add elderberry syrup too, which makes it extra delicious and adds antioxidant-rich immune support.

Sometimes I’ll take my ashwagandha tincture separately because the flavor is strong, but I love keeping it as part of my evening rhythm. It’s something we make in house at Sandpoint Reflexology, and I’ve personally noticed such a difference when I take it consistently.

I also take my Vitamin D in the evenings since morning coffee can interfere with absorption.

None of this is complicated or fancy. It’s just one small way I try to slow down, support my body, and create a more peaceful evening routine.

Added bonus: it helps curb those nighttime snack cravings too.

If you want the recipe for my golden milk mixture, let me know and I’ll send it your way!

Your body isn’t random. It’s constantly responding and communicating in ways you don’t always notice.

When something feels off, it’s already trying to adjust and find its way back to balance.

Reflexology works with God’s amazing design, supporting your nervous system and helping your body shift out of that constant go mode so it can reset.

Rest isn’t something you have to earn at the end of a long day. It’s something your body was made to need, built into the way you were created.

If you’re local and curious about reflexology, you can book a call or send me a DM with any questions.

I’m always happy to talk through what this could look like for you.

Stress builds over time in layers. Some of it shows up physically in tight muscles or tension you can’t shake. Some of it sits in your nervous system, keeping you on edge even when you try to rest. And some of it is emotional, tied to everything you’ve been carrying day after day.

Reflexology works with the body to help release that tension, calming the nervous system and creating space for it to reset.

Prayer does something just as important. It gives your mind and heart a place to slow down, process, and be held in truth instead of pressure.

This guide was created to bring those two things together in a simple, practical way. You can use it during quiet moments at home, when you need a reset in the middle of your day, or alongside reflexology to stay more present as your body relaxes.

If you’ve been feeling the weight of stress in more ways than one, this is a simple place to start.

You can downlaod it today at the link in my bio!

Circulation is one of those things we rarely think about… until our body starts feeling a little off.

Maybe your feet feel tired, your shoulders stay tense, or you just feel run down in a way that’s hard to explain.
Our bodies rely on good circulation to move oxygen, nutrients, and fluids where they need to go.

It’s part of what keeps everything working the way it should.
Reflexology doesn’t “force” circulation to happen. Instead, it works with reflex points on the feet that connect with different systems in the body.

These connections can encourage the nervous system to relax, and when the body relaxes, many of its natural processes tend to work more smoothly.

I often think of it as giving the body space to do what it was designed to do.

Sometimes that small shift toward relaxation can make a bigger difference than we expect.
