Here’s the simplest thing I can teach you for more stable mood and energy.
Every time you eat mostly refined carbs or sugar on their own, your blood sugar spikes, then crashes. That crash can bring irritability, brain fog, cravings and fatigue. Sound familiar?
Instead, try building a ‘Calm Plate’: 🥦 Half your plate: colourful vegetables (fibre = happy gut bacteria, vits and minerals) 🍗 Quarter: protein (builds neurotransmitters like serotonin + dopamine and muscles for glucose) 🌾 Quarter: complex carbs like wholegrains, legumes, root veg (slow, steady energy) 🥑 Add healthy fats like olive oil, avocado, nuts, seeds (brain health + less inflammation) 🥛 Bonus: add a probiotic food such as live yogurt, kimchi, kefir (gut diversity).
