The Administration has announced agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers to lower the cost of FDA-approved obesity medications. Medicare beneficiaries will now pay just $50/month, making these life-changing treatments more affordable and accessible, and opening the door for Medicare and Medicaid to cover obesity drugs for adults. 15 Years. It’s been 15 years since WLS (Oct 4, 2010). Fifteen wonderful years. 404 pounds to 170 pounds. From simply reacting to life and getting by, to challenging myself and my perceived limits. From accepting limitations, to breaking barriers, and doing things that scare and test me.

When I die and people remember me, I want the fact that I had WLS to be one of the least interesting things about me… I want that simple surgery to be boring compared to the life I led afterwards, to the things I did afterwards, to the people I met, the places I went, and the challenges I overcame afterwards.

WLS is a bet on yourself.

Having WLS is a bet on yourself. It’s a statement that ‘I believe in me and I am capable of achieving my dreams.’

It’s a commitment to YOU, a statement that I AM WORTH making changes.

You’ve cheered for others. You’ve supported others. You’ve encouraged others. You dug into your BEST self and gave it, willingly, in help to others.

Now look in the mirror and tell yourself that you’re giving that best you - to YOU. You’re going to cheer for you. You’re going to support YOU. You’re going to believe in YOU. You’re going to prioritize YOU.

It’s your time. It’s your turn. You are your biggest fan. It’s time to bet on YOU.

Now you prove - to yourself and to all, that you have the power. That you make a difference. That you know who you are and you’re bringing it - on your own behalf.

Don’t go tentatively into your Journey.

Bring what you are inside, to the outside.

You know what you are…
Now show what you are.

A bet is a gamble only when the outcome is in doubt.

You lose when you quit, so don’t quit.
You stumble when you doubt, so don’t doubt.
You struggle when you hesitate, so run full speed into your challenges.
