How did our ancestors know when to plant, harvest, rest, gather, celebrate, or begin again?

Long before clocks and calendars filled our days, human beings lived in relationship with cycles. The waxing and waning moon. The turning of the seasons. The migrations of animals. The flowering of plants. The rhythms of the body. 🌙

In our recent Sacred Timekeeping workshop, we explored what becomes possible when we begin to orient ourselves through these living cycles once again. We traveled through ancient ways of tracking time from cultures across the world, explored the Wheel of the Year, the 24 Seasonal Nodes, lunar calendars, and the profound relationship between the womb, the moon, and the Earth. We reflected on how the menstrual cycle mirrors the seasons and how our bodies participate in the same rhythms that move the tides, guide migrations, and bring blossoms through the soil each spring.

We explored orientation as the awareness of oneself in place. We explored attunement as the practice of bringing ourselves into relationship with the rhythms around and within us. And we remembered that the womb is not only an organ of reproduction, but an organ of relationship. A place through which we can deepen our connection to ourselves, our communities, and the living world.

What happens when we stop relating to time as something we chase and begin relating to it as something we belong to? This is the heart of The Somatic Womb Path. A place where East Asian Medicine, somatic wisdom, cyclical living, and seasonal rhythm come together to help us remember an older way of being. If this conversation speaks to something deep within you, we’d love to welcome you into the next cohort. 💛✨ The Somatic Womb Path 2027 waitlist is open, link in bio!

Before we get swept up fully into the intensity of Summertime, let’s give Spring her flowers. 💐

Spring is a time of birth and new life, but whether it’s the intensity of birthing contractions or the creative tension of birthing something you are creating into the world, there is indeed a tension to Spring’s process. Let’s think about the seed that pushes itself through the Earth.

Spring’s element is Wood. Anger is the emotion of Wood. 🌱 💢

Anger is a powerful and generative force that helps us birth new worlds when harnessed, embodied and honored rather than extinguished. Anger shows us where our boundaries, edges and needs are. It can show us where we need more water, flexibility, flow. And where we need to orient, get clear, and actually move.

In East Asian Medicine and in Somatics, emotion is not seen as good or bad. It is simply energy in motion, all part of the full spectrum of human experience. This rewrites what most of us learned about anger, and it’s especially relevant to the Womb, because anger is connected to creativity, and because that power has been suppressed through our maternal lines for so long.

This is something we dive deep into in our Spring immersion, Be Like Wood: Emerging Dawn, Birth and Visioning.

When we have the safety and capacity to hold the heat of our own anger, our bodies no longer have to be the battlefield on which we fight with our own truth. Our voices can become tools of expression and also of singing the song that lets our anger know we are listening. We transform our lineages through learning to relate to and love our fire.

This theme always brings up the juiciest of discussions in our cohorts. We’d love to hear from you about what you learned about your anger and what you are learning now that has changed.

This Spring, we opened the Year of the Yang Fire Horse with our 2026 cohort of The Somatic Womb Path, and what a lovely beginning it’s been. ❤️‍🔥🐎

From finding our ground together in our Foundations Immersion, to returning to our innate nature through the Nourishing Life Tradition, building a bridge to the body through Somatic Womb Work, and gathering in visioning and reflection during our Spring Office Hours… this season has already been so full of heart, depth, and beauty.

A remembering that even in urgency, we can slow down.
A returning to the body as a doorway.
A rooting into rhythms that sustain life.

We’re in awe of this group, your presence, your devotion, your softness, your fire. We love you already. 💛

𖣊 The waitlist for the 2027 Somatic Womb Path is now open. If you feel the pull to walk this path with us next year, we’d love to have you. Link in bio to join the waitlist. ✨
