Fall is laser season — and Halo is our favorite way to undo what summer left behind. 🍂

Sun spots, uneven tone, rough texture, pores that seem bigger than they were in May. Halo is a hybrid fractional laser, meaning it works on two levels at once: a gentle resurfacing at the surface plus deeper energy that stimulates collagen underneath. Real results without the weeks of downtime of a fully ablative laser.

Why now? Halo leaves skin more sun-sensitive while it heals, and pigment treatments do best when you’re not getting fresh sun exposure on top of them. Shorter days make that easier. (Yes, we know it’s still HOT in Santa Barbara — SPF stays non-negotiable.)

What to honestly expect:
✨ 3–7 days of social downtime: redness, mild swelling, then a sandpaper/bronzed phase as the treated pigment flakes off

When it’s this hot, you lose fluids and electrolytes faster than you replace them, and it shows up as headaches, fatigue, and that 3pm fog. Add a packed schedule and the start of cold season, and a lot of us are running on empty.

Did you know the artwork throughout Renew Room is created by local artists?

This particular piece was commissioned specifically for our space by Santa Barbara artist Shelby Scudder, who works with natural and found objects to create unique multimedia pieces. We worked with her to create something with our space, colors, and overall aesthetic in mind.

Because for us, the details don’t stop at the treatments we offer ~ they’re woven into the entire Renew Room experience. 🤍

We love supporting local artists and filling our space with pieces that feel uniquely Santa Barbara.
