Becoming a mom may be the most life changing experience I’ve ever had.

Physically, mentally, emotionally. Obviously one day can’t hold all that moms deserve.

I never realized how powerful moms are until I became one.

But I also realize that my children give me so much more than I can ever give them.

To my wise little teachers of life.

To the little hands I get to hold as they fall asleep

To listening to you breathe as you drift off

To waking up to I love you’s and being a giant rag for sticky hands or faces.

To the best club there is out there. The mom club 💕😘💜💕

Your body holds a unique story. There is no one size fits all protocol.

Every individual has their own history, list of injuries and traumatic life experiences.

Those all play a role in your chronic pain story.

As a provider, assessment and history are the most telling to helping you heal.

Secondly, helping all the parts work together is imperative to getting better.

If you are just getting treatment that addresses where the symptoms are, you will only experience temporary relief.

Have you ever experienced this? DM me a question 😎

So proud of this client! When she first started, she struggled with upper back tension and postpartum recovery. She was short-tempered with her toddler, but our therapy and mobility ball work helped her find calm and patience. 90 days later, she's got the tools to:

🔹Regulate her nervous system,
🔹rebuild strength and posture,
🔹boost energy
🔹and whole-body resiliency.

Imagine training your whole youth to make it to college and get injured during your freshman year.

This experience taught me so much about pain. My own capacities to push through it and my body’s incredible ability to heal.

This experience is what brought me into this field. I wanted to be a part of the Holistic system that aids in healing. That seeks in curiosity how the body moves, how the parts are connected.

And not locally. Like looking at someone’s shoulder and saying you have a shoulder problem.

But asking better questions. Like what does spinal movement have to do with your shoulder problem?

I never want to label someone’s problem and give them a diagnosis that they won’t be able to do something or I guess they just need surgery.

So as a freshman in college I learned there are other ways to heal than the traditional and conventional routes. And they can be quite simple.

As a former college athlete who played through injuries. I get it. I understand what it’s like to have chronic pain. I know what it’s like to put your body first or you won’t be able to play.

Guess what? as an adult, walking around all day is the same privilege. Sitting on the toilet seat and being able to get up when you’re older. Playing in your favorite rec sport over the weekend. Getting in and out of your car and giving your kid a piggy back ride. This is the game we all get to play.

You have the absolute choice….. you don’t need to sit on the sidelines of your life, of your kids life. You get to choose how you respond to your injury.

Choose understanding your body and curiosity about what you are learning from your injuries.

What a joy and a privilege it is to be a parent. I know I talk about how hard it is to be a mom….but deep down even on their worst days I will always remember why we chose this road as a family and the endless lessons I learn being their mom.
I am honored to be my babies mama. Truly a gift to walk along side them, hold their tiny hands, snuggle them at night.

No presents needed just lots of baby snuggles. 🥰

Repeat after me, you deserve to feel good in your body.

If you’re mothering day by day with constant aches and pains it’s going to show up in how you parent.

So don’t forget to put you first.

Consider your birth story when you consider being able to engage your core.

If you feel like you can’t engage your core. Consider there may be a disconnect of not wanting anything to do with that space after having a traumatic birth.

What was your birth like? What was your pregnancy like?

If it is difficult for you to engage your core, you still have diastis recti and you experience back pain on the daily, consider reconnecting with your core via breath.
Not just doing an abdominal exercise but really feeling and sensing where your core is.

Try this:

Use a courageous ball and/or a pillow and place it right above your p***c symphysis in your lower abdomen and take 3-5 deep breaths.

Now reach over to the left and take a few deep breaths and repeat on the right.

Whatever emotions come up in relation to your birth and your core are there for a reason. Allow yourself to feel whatever you feel as you do this.
