PFAS exposure has been associated with smaller p***s size.
Did I get your attention? Because it got mine.
It's another reminder to pay attention to what we put in, on and around our bodies.
I was reading Mamavation's latest investigation into PFAS in activewear (Sept. 22, 2026) when I saw “smaller p***s size” listed among the health concerns associated with PFAS exposure.
The research they're referring to looked at men living in an area with significant PFAS contamination and found differences in male reproductive development compared with men who were not exposed in the same way.
The clothing article caught my attention because I'm always looking for cleaner clothing options—and I'll add, I'm glad to see the two main brands I wear on the non-detectable “best” list!
Mamavation sent 42 pairs of activewear—including leggings and yoga pants—to a laboratory to look for indications of PFAS. In the original group, 25% had detectable organic fluorine, an indicator of PFAS.
Clothing sits against our skin for hours. We sweat in it—especially when we're working out. And treatments used to create properties like stain resistance, water resistance and moisture management may not be disclosed on the label. Mamavation discusses several possible sources of PFAS in activewear, including textile treatments and manufacturing processes.
It's another reminder to pay attention to what we put in, on and around our bodies.
We can't eliminate every exposure. But when we know where they may be coming from, we can make more informed choices.
I'll link Mamavation's full investigation so you can see the testing and results for yourself.
