We wrapped up nurses week with a special banana split social in honor of our facility nurse. Happy Nurses Week and thank you all for the critical role each of you play in healthcare, patient advocacy, and community well-being.

Thank you Brigitte with Allegiance Healthcare for jump starting our Mother's Day weekend celebration. The ladies truly enjoyed the lovely decorations and sweet treats.

We celebrated the Kentucky Derby this weekend with our own little tabletop horse race. Everyone had a good time naming their horses from “Bonnie’s Bronze Fire” to “Judy’s Swift” to “Rita’s Eat My Dust”, and even “Peggy’s Poo Poo” (don’t ask). We also reminisced about past trips to the Derby. “Vera’s Leo” started the race out strong but fell behind after the first lap. "Peggy’s Sparky" did not do so well. He lost his spark right out of the gate and did not receive much help from his owner’s daughter who consistently rolled the unlucky ace.

This week is Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we are celebrating the incredible individuals who bring joy, comfort, and connection to our community. To all of our amazing volunteers: Thank you for being a part of our story. Your time, compassion, and kindness make Victorious Assisted Living a brighter place every day.

Volunteers show up when it would be easier to stay home. They give their time, their skills, and other resources, often without being noticed. They lift a load for someone else with care. If you have ever been helped by a volunteer, you know it is not just the task that matters, it is the kindness behind it.

As a small facility, we could not survive without our volunteers who consist of church groups, individuals, students, social, civic, and sports clubs / organizations and our beloved family members. It all matters, whether it is once a year or once a day, your presence means so much to us.
