Good health can take root in simple places—including a garden bed. 🌱

Our community garden at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center is growing with help from Grow Y’Own. From carrots and strawberries to fresh herbs, these garden beds offer a colorful reminder of where healthy food begins.

It’s also connected to a larger idea: food is medicine. Nutritious food can support our overall well-being and play an important role alongside medical care. Gardens like this one help bring healthy food, learning and community together in one welcoming space.

🐾 This National Dog Day, we’re celebrating the special dogs who bring comfort, companionship and plenty of smiles to our hospitals.

These four-legged friends and their handlers visit patients and members of our workforce, offering a calming presence and a joyful distraction when it’s needed most. A gentle nuzzle, a wagging tail or a few quiet moments together can make a hospital stay feel a little brighter.

A postpartum visit is important for new parents after having a baby. It’s recommended that you have a medical checkup to see how you’re recovering from labor and birth. These checkups are a key part of your overall pregnancy care.

If you are pregnant, talk to your provider about scheduling your postpartum visit and any other visits you may need during your pregnancy.

If you need help scheduling a visit with your provider, please call the customer service number on the back of your Presbyterian Health Plan member ID card.

The Santa Fe Farmers' Market Del Sur continues every Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the main parking lot at Santa Fe Medical Center on Beckner Road.

This week, in addition to the usual selection of locally grown fruits and produce, eggs, bread and other food staples, we also welcome:

* New Mexico Museum of Art with a hands-on art activity with free swag including coloring books, stickers, and pencils
* Guadalupe Credit Union who will be providing free information on financial education and financial coaching services.
* Chainbreaker Collective who will have information on access to affordable transportation and sustainable communities for working families

Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Farmers Market Nutrition, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition and Presbyterian Employee Wellness Vouchers are accepted. We hope to see you there this week!
