Morning Blessing
May this day bring beauty into your heart,
and remind you that beauty
is something you carry
wherever your heart goes.
May the longing within your soul
become a guiding star toward
what is truly yours.
May it lead you toward the gifts
that have grown through your life,
your loves, your sorrows, your becoming.
May you recognize the medicine you carry,
the small and precious offering
that only you can bring into the world.
May your life force rise with clarity,
flowing toward what is aligned
with the deepest truth within you.
May you notice
what brings you more fully alive,
what expands your spirit,
what leaves you feeling more like yourself.
May you have the freedom
to loosen your hands
from the things that
pull you away from your center,
and the wisdom to follow
what calls you home to yourself.
You are already carrying something
the world could receive only through you.
May you have the freedom to let it bloom.
May this day bring you closer
to that beautiful place
where your heart, your gifts, and your life
speak the same language.

"The Woman Who Became the Tree"
— A Story of How the World Began to Grow —

In the beginning, there was a woman
who chose to root herself.
She had walked enough lifetimes to know
that the deepest journeys happen standing still.
So she climbed onto
the back of the old Turtle,
spread her arms until
they remembered they were branches,
and let her feet sink
down through his painted shell
into the slow, ancient blood of the sea.

The Turtle did not mind.
e had been waiting for her.
Grow, he whispered without speaking.
Grow so the children of
the children of my children
will have somewhere
to rest their tired heads.
And she grew. She grew
through every season at once —
summer in her right hand,
winter in her left,
the sun rising in her belly,
the moon setting in her hair.

She is still growing.
That is why the world has not yet ended.

Whispers of the Wind

In the stillness of the sky,
A breath of life begins to fly.
Soft and steady, wild and free,
A song is sung in mystery.

Threads of spirit, woven tight,
Bound by earth, by star, by light.
The dance of life, the winds that blow,
Carry secrets only they know.

The waters whisper, soft and deep,
In timeless rhythms, they do keep.
A song of hope, of strength untold,
In every ripple, a story bold.

Through quiet paths, the soul will roam,
Seeking peace, and finding home.
In winds that dance and waters wide,
The spirit speaks, the heart does guide.

Soul filled with Life
Abundance of thoughts
Clustered like stars on your path
Your feet touching the soil
With each breath you take...
Transported to your inner world
You remember who you are
Why you are here
What makes you who you are...
The book of your fragrance
Travels far to lands unknown to you
But the heart knows
For she is filled with stories of you
Overcoming the storms of becoming
Your body speaking the language of hope...
You never give up
You bent like a willow tree
And you kiss

The roots of thoughts
Your feelings
Your anger
Your rage

As all are part of you
All make you a holy creation

You are a Holy Soul Maker

Language is Sacred

A Blessing for the Year Ahead

May the new year bring healing where there has been hurt,
peace where there has been unrest,
and compassion where hearts have grown weary.

May it soften what has hardened,
mend what has been broken,
and remind us of our shared tenderness.

May peace begin gently,
in our thoughts, in our words, in the way we see one another,
and from there, ripple outward
into homes, communities,
and the wider world.

Long before God the Father, there she was – God the Mother. Where did she vanish to, this great mother goddess?

How did we women become so completely dispossessed?

It wasn’t that I wanted to replace a male god with a female god; it wasn’t that I wanted to find a religion at all. I was simply looking for some sense that women might have worth.

And I found it: there in the old stories of my own native land, I found it. Filled with images of women creating, women weaving the world into being, I took up knitting.

Thread by thread, stitch by stitch, I began to knit myself back into being. I had never thought of myself as being a particularly creative soul, but I discovered that creativity was a wide-ranging affair.

I simply thought about what brought me joy, and I began to cultivate it.

I dug my hands into this strange foreign soil, and I began to grow things.

I began to reacquaint myself with the soft animal object that was my body.

Slowly, spending more and more time outside, focusing on the wisdom of my senses rather than on what was going on inside my head, I began to weave myself back into the fabric of the Earth.
