I was worried there was something lurking in our home, making my kids or us sick. Two inspectors - nothing. My best inspector came up from San Diego and raised a question about our vaulted ceilings.

When we bought the home over 10 years ago, it was a run-down rental home. We fixed everything but the ceilings, since they looked fine. Turns out before we moved in, those ceilings were filled with rats. Even though we did not have any active rodent issues, all this stuff just sat in our ceiling.

Rat urine and droppings bring dangerous bacterial toxins - toxins that are actually MORE DANGEROUS than mold toxins. If it were not for my inspector, I would have never even thought to open up those ceilings and never found the rat droppings from 10+ years ago.

THIS IS HOW EASY IT IS TO MISS EXPOSURE TO THESE TOXINS.

We have come to believe that learning disabilities are a fixed part of some children.

What if that is not true?

Sam was 11 and was diagnosed with learning disabilities. She worked with tutors multiple times a week, and nothing was clicking. Reading was hard. She just could not get match concepts. She was exhausted mentally and physically.

A cheek swab test revealed significant mitochondrial dysfunction. We put her on targeted mitochondrial support and left everything else the same.

Two months later, her tutor was floored. She was grasping math concepts on the first try, enjoying reading, riding bikes, and asking to go outside.

Mitochondrial dysfunction, cerebral folate deficiency, Candida overgrowth, metal accumulation.

These are all real drivers of autism. But nobody is asking what causes all of them at once.

Biotoxins from mold contamination can trigger every single one of these imbalances simultaneously.

One in three homes has this level of contamination. And it is almost never the first thing anyone looks for.

Treating the downstream imbalances matters. But if the source is still in the walls, the ceiling on how much any of it can help is very, very low.
