He didn't become a different kid. He finally got to be the kid he always was.

Tony was six years old, having constant accidents, irritable, reactive, getting into fights, struggling to connect with anyone around him.

We found gluten and dairy sensitivities, addressed those, then found significant fungal overgrowth in the gut and treated that too.

Everyone around him noticed the shift almost immediately. Calmer, more social, more engaged, no longer fighting, present in a way he had never been before.

I've seen this hundreds of times. The child that was written off as simply being on the spectrum, showing up completely differently the moment you stop treating the label and start treating what's actually driving it.

The gut is not a side conversation. It is central to how this condition develops.

Everyone points to poor diet, pesticides, and antibiotics, and all of that matters. But there are plenty of kids eating terrible diets who never develop autism.

In my experience, the single biggest driver of intestinal collapse is environmental contamination in the home.

In the tiny amounts commonly found in contaminated homes, that exposure is enough to cause the entire gut ecosystem to fall apart.

Which means for a lot of these families, the diet changes and the supplements are never going to be enough. Because the source is still in the walls.

If you want to learn more about this topic, comment “Microbiome” and I’ll send you an interesting presentation I made about it. ⤵️

Picky eating in kids with autism is not a behavior problem. It's a neurological one.

When there's inflammation in the brain, it triggers a massive histamine response.

And histamine is one of the most powerful controllers of appetite and sensory perception.

What that means practically is that the food you're putting on your child's plate, the steak, the vegetables.

They are not being difficult. They are not exerting their will. Their nervous system has been hijacked by inflammation and they have no other choice.

Here's what's remarkable though. When you identify and remove the trigger driving that inflammation, kids who were eating two foods suddenly start eating everything. I've seen it happen over and over.

This is not about forcing new foods onto the plate. It's about putting out the fire first.

There's a reason some kids struggle to write, ride a bike, or move without looking clumsy.

At the back of the brain sits the cerebellum, essentially a dedicated computer whose only job is to track where the body is in space and coordinate movement down to the millimeter.

Inside the cerebellum live immune cells called microglia.

When anything trips them off, a toxin, an infection, mold, something happening in the gut, they cause the cerebellum to essentially short circuit.

This is not clumsiness. Something is inflaming the part of the brain responsible for movement, and until that's addressed, no amount of occupational therapy is going to fix what's happening at the root.

We have conducted an experiment on our population without realizing it. And the outcome is the most immunologically vulnerable generation in modern history.

Atrazine and glyphosate are just the beginning. Antibiotics, plastics, forever chemicals, all of it woven into the food supply with basically no understanding of what it would do to human physiology over time.

Here's where I push back though. Twelve years ago I was loading kids and myself with every binder imaginable, zeolite, all of it, convinced it was the answer. The results were underwhelming.

Binders can help. I still use them. But they are not the mechanism that reverses chronic illness.

The most underrated detox system in existence is a healthy gut and a thriving microbiome.

When those are functioning the way they should, the body clears toxins on its own, the way it was always designed to. Eat enough fiber, clean up the diet, fix the gut, and the body does the rest.

No protocol required.
