What begins as a paddle becomes something more.

The Champion Paddle brings breast cancer survivors, thrivers, supporters, friends, and family together in Marina del Rey for a morning of connection, encouragement, and community on the water.

This event is especially meaningful as we welcome members of the Power Ladies community and continue growing a Circle of Friendship that extends far beyond a single morning.

We're also gathering items for a survivor basket for a woman newly entering this journey.

Suggested gifts in the $10–15 range include comfort items, journals, self-care gifts, cozy socks, and thoughtful touches that remind someone she is cared for.

A handwritten survivor letter remains one of the most treasured gifts a woman can receive.

There’s a phase after breast cancer treatment that doesn’t get explained clearly and it leaves a lot of women wondering why their bodies feel so different

⚡ Energy comes in waves

💪 Strength builds differently now, and can be slower and uneven

🧍‍♀️ Range of motion can feel tight, guarded, or unfamiliar, especially through the chest and shoulders

🌡 Temperature + sleep shifts happen and sometimes rest can feel lighter or interrupted

⚖️ Body changes where weight may redistribute, even without major lifestyle changes

🫀 Healing doesn’t end when treatment ends but continues for a long time.

There can be a strange moment after treatment when the outside world assumes life has resumed, while your body is still introducing itself.

Scars evolve. Sensation can shift. Contours can change over time. Many women quietly wonder whether these things are normal, or whether they are the only one experiencing them.

Sometimes the first comfort is simply realizing what you’re noticing has a name.
