Coming from my own experience I know how important regulating the nervous system is. My own vagus nerve was so dis-regulated I thought my whole body was breaking down. But then I learned so much about the vagus nerve and what it does. I was able to get my life back, even better than before. I know others can do this as well.
What Is the Vagus Nerve? 🌿
Ever feel like you’re constantly “on edge”…
Anxious.
Overwhelmed.
Exhausted.
Or like your body just can’t seem to relax?
Your vagus nerve may be part of the reason.
The vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve in your body. Think of it as the main communication highway between your brain and your body.
It helps regulate your:
💙 Heart rate
🌬️ Breathing
🫁 Lungs
🩺 Blood pressure
🍃 Digestion
🛡️ Immune system
😊 Emotional regulation
When your vagus nerve is functioning well, your body can shift into its natural rest, digest, and heal mode.
When it’s dysregulated, you may feel like you’re stuck in fight, flight, or freeze, making it harder to relax, think clearly, sleep well, or digest food comfortably.
The good news?
✨ Your nervous system is adaptable, and there are gentle ways to support vagal regulation—including breathwork, humming, movement, time in nature, mindfulness, and other calming practices.
This is why I talk so much about nervous system regulation. When your nervous system feels safe, your body can do what it was designed to do: heal, restore, and thrive.
