We help people with sight loss regain independence and rejoin life!

History of Earle Baum Center

Earle Baum Center was established in honor of Earle Baum, a blind farmer born in 1896. Earle lost the majority of his sight by age 17, and although his hopes of becoming a journalist were dashed, he went on to live a happy and productive life as a farmer. He developed many talents including composing music, dancing, and inspiring those around him with his positivity and abilities. EBC proudly continues

Earle’s legacy by providing a warm and welcoming place for people who are blind and vision impaired to acquire the skills, support, and companionship needed to regain their independence. In Earle’s memory, EBC services and programs help its community members reach life goals including securing employment, pursuing a new passion, mastering a technical skill, or traveling safely and independently.
