You don't have to sign a Release of Information. If you decide not to, you'll be responsible for providing any documents needed for your case. The good news is that in most cases, you've already submitted many of the important documents to the county, making the process much easier.

Medical equipment is not automatically considered a paramedical service, and IHSS generally does not pay an hourly rate simply for using equipment. However, if the equipment requires specialized training, skilled assistance, or medical supervision to operate safely and effectively, and meets certain IHSS criteria, it may qualify as a paramedical service.
