What Does It Mean When We Say Feral?
It is probably not what you think.
When we say feral, we are not talking about just wild animals, although we have adopted three rescue cats and love them dearly.
We are talking about the domesticated human returning to their natural, innate state.
And in many ways, that is what so many of us are longing for.
A return to our bodies and our intuition.
A return to the seasons, the moon, real ancestral food, community, craftsmanship, beauty, and a way of living that feels connected to what we actually are.
Modern domestication has pulled us far from our deepest instincts.
We have learned to override hunger, exhaustion, creativity, grief, joy, and the quiet wisdom of our own bodies.
Feral is about remembering what we have forgotten.
It has always been ours.
But to claim it back, we have to clear what got in the way.
The stories we inherited.
The beliefs we were handed and never questioned.
The projections we carried so long they started to feel true.
That work is not easy. It is, however, the most worthwhile thing there is.
Because what waits on the other side is heaven on earth.
And that has always been our birthright.
The Future is Feral 💫
