Was looking forward to setting up some yoga time over at Mast Park, but am feeling under the weather. Considering the weather we've been having lately ( 🌧️ ), it kind of works out for the best.

(I know the FB page isn't active but it's a nice place marker. Also, the park isn't only a dog park, but you do certainly get to see some adorable doggos! 🐾)

I intend to be in Mast Park today or tomorrow to do an easy flow; it'll be less about flexibility and more about keeping you in a good, calm mood. Things are more than a little hectic today with politics and it will be lovely to help people disconnect from that for even 15 or 20 minutes. Hope to see you soon!

Baby steps - starting on a very large project, and beginning with Meetup. I'm also going to incorporate virtual meetings for those who want to be part of all of this, but don't live here. 'Cause brains are.... uh, we all have them. So yeah. Brains (sans zombies).

This is a group started by Larissa, who went through an emergency surgery in August 2024 for something entirely unexpected: a benign brain tumor that had grown in her brain for roughly 20 years. She hopes to promote knowledge, provide support, and enhance recovery for all others who go through this

Still promoting, asking, being humble but also struggling for real. Slowly deciding what I can offer to those who might help or have helped. It'll probably be art, or something involving a computer and typing + mouse clicking, or (when I'm much better) organizing/cleaning your house, or yoga therapy, or a non-acupuncture health and wellness treatment. Had the pleasure today of getting to go to Dr. Jeff Odnert's Tai Chi & Qi Gong classes down in Crown Point. I like attending them in general, and today my goal was seeing if I could handle that much movement and being out in the sun. Both those art/movement forms can be very slow and meditative, which is something I deeply need. It was quite nice to be out there, but definitely more difficult than I remembered due to stuff that is physically going on with me. I look forward to practicing at home, whether it's seated or holding on to counters and stuff for working on my balance.

I'm helping him a bit with the social media aspect (though obviously I've been on break from things like that due to surgery/recovery), but please feel free to join and attend! He's quite a good instructor and teacher in general, which I'm not just saying because he's my friend. I'm hoping he can also stream the classes someday soon (which I'm sure we'll discuss in our endless texts, lol).

PT + OT + meditation/yoga for 2.5 - 3 hours every day is a whole lot of too much ... But hearing all the professionals and also friends in my life continue to tell me how great my recovery is doing? That (and not feeling hungover/drunk all the time makes it well worth it.

(Plus it's definitely NOT hurting my getting in shape again, that's for sure. ☺️)

Hi, guess who has the driest mouth (primarily from meds) - meeeeeeeeeee. So I looked up ways to hydrate better, since all the water I'm drinking isn't helping the way it should. Obviously beyond higher amounts of fruits and some veggies and elctrolytes, what else could I do? Welp: NIH, Throat Cancer Foundation, and JAMA all pointed to acupuncture, so of course I'm going to read the articles to do self-acupressure because this level of dry mouth is extremely uncomfortable.

And what do I find? AWWW YEAH:

Points appear to be as follows:
"Acupuncture points were at 3 sites on each ear (Shenmen, point 0, salivary gland 2-prime19,20), a site on the chin (CV24), a site on each forearm (LU7), a site on each hand (LI 1-prime19,20), and a site on each leg (K6) with 1 placebo needle at GB32 for a total of 14 sites. For body points, standardized techniques for location were used."

Did I acu-pressure the points? YES. Did they work almost instantly to get the worst discomfort out of dry mouth and start up saliva again?

As things slowly calm down, I'm going to start streaming again on twitch. It seems to be the better option as far as having live video and talking about all things, especially after the process that was my surgery. I'll be posting more and promoting it as I get all my thoughts together. It's a large project that I've been planning for quite a while, but as some of you know things have just been hectic. Anyway, go follow me and we'll see how it goes over the next week as I get started. I used to be online regularly as I was studying on there for my doctoral program and studying live so that people could see how it was going and I also found that a way to study which helped me out nicely. Hope to see you guys soon.
