What an incredible two days at EqualSRQ!

This weekend, 8 participants completed our 16-hour Introduction to Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) training, led by 3 dedicated facilitators who shared their lived experience, knowledge, and encouragement throughout the process.

WRAP is more than a class. It is a practical, person-centered framework that helps individuals identify what keeps them well, recognize challenges before they become crises, and create a personalized plan for maintaining recovery, resilience, and hope.

For many participants, this training represents an important step on their journey toward becoming a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist. More importantly, it provides tools that can be used immediately in everyday life—whether someone is navigating recovery, mental health challenges, major life changes, or simply seeking greater wellness and balance.

Over 16 hours together, participants explored wellness tools, daily maintenance planning, stressors, early warning signs, support systems, and the power of self-directed recovery. Along the way, they built new connections, shared wisdom, and strengthened the sense of community that makes recovery possible.

Congratulations to everyone who invested their time, courage, and energy into this experience. We are honored to walk alongside you as you continue your recovery journey.

Recovery happens one relationship, one skill, and one day at a time. 💜

The world often celebrates grand gestures, but lives are changed through small acts repeated consistently over time. A meal shared. A conversation. A check-in. A reminder that someone matters.

A few months ago, these were just tiny seeds and a hopeful idea.

Now they're standing tall, brightening the garden, feeding pollinators, and bringing smiles to everyone who drives by or walks on property. 🌻

These giants have a way of stealing the show. Their size, color, and sheer joy are hard to beat.

There's something inspiring about watching a seed become something this bold. A little patience, some care, a lot of sunshine—and suddenly you have something that lifts spirits.

Grand, cheerful, and absolutely worth the wait.

The garden keeps reminding us that growth often happens quietly before it becomes impossible to miss. 💛🌻

Recovery happens in communities.

Three stories caught our attention this week because they highlight something we see every day at EqualSRQ: recovery is about much more than treatment alone.

🔹 The Cherokee Nation is investing opioid settlement funds into a new recovery center that combines clinical care with culture, identity, language, and community connection.

🔹 Ulster County, New York opened a new Center for Well-Being designed to provide crisis support, behavioral health services, peer support, and alternatives to emergency room visits.

🔹 Bay City, Michigan is directing opioid settlement funding toward housing assistance, food, hygiene supplies, and treatment support—recognizing that stable recovery often begins with meeting basic needs.

Different communities. Different approaches.

The common thread? Belonging, connection, and practical support matter.

As more communities decide how to invest opioid settlement dollars and recovery resources, these examples raise an important question:

What creates the conditions where recovery can truly take root and grow?

We'd love to hear your thoughts.
