Filler and biostimulators can both be used for facial rejuvenation, but they’re doing two completely different things.

Filler is used when we want to restore volume, add structure, or enhance a specific area.

Biostimulators work differently. Instead of just adding volume, they stimulate your body to produce more of its own collagen, so your results develop gradually over time.

Sometimes, the best result isn’t choosing one or the other, it’s using both for different reasons.

It really comes down to your anatomy, what we’re trying to improve, and what you want your end result to look like.

How many vials of Sculptra do you actually need?

You may have heard the “one vial per decade” guideline. It can be a helpful starting point, but it doesn’t mean everyone needs the same amount based on age alone.

Depending on your facial structure, degree of collagen and volume loss, skin quality, treatment areas, and your goals, we may recommend adjusting the number of vials up or down.

Some patients may need more. Some may need less. Your treatment plan can also evolve over time as your own collagen begins to build.

The goal isn’t to hit a certain number of vials. It’s to create a treatment plan that makes sense for your face while keeping your results gradual, balanced, and natural-looking.
